  7. right, having just had my aa410 .22 serviced and a new jsr 3-9x40 mildot scope attached i zeroed it in to 30m. my question is i have the brc program which hawke use for their scopes...setting it up to a 30m zero using the map8 reticule which has a similar number of mildots on can i use the results with some accuracy to give me some idea of where my jsr scope will fire at various distance. i am fairly sure mildots are not a consistent measurement between different scope manufacturers, but i am just wondering if the program will give me an idea of where it will be shooting. with a 30

  9. An update to let people what happened with my air rifle in the end. Buster321c kindly offered to do the work on it for about half the price i had been quoted locally by a dealer. Having checked him out a bit i packaged the rifle off and sat back. Craig kept me in touch via email at every stage...he had quickly replaced all the seals for me and checked the leak but it was still there. He then got a new adapter for me and fitted this. After a few days to make sure the leak had been stopped he returned it by speacial delivery [all included in the price quoted]. Absolute top notch job...c
  10. Fox-stoper...if you get one from working lines then there isnt any reason why it wont serve you well. there are a few on here who do work them to ground [and many more who due to the bad name dont let others know they work them to ground and dont get involved in the negative banter on forums] if you do want to think seriously about getting one then The European Plummer Terrier Forum and the Working Plummer Terrier Forum [at this moment in time the name could be misleading ] are two dedicated forums to the breed....join them and ask on there and you should be pointed in the right directio
  11. Hi, I am all gearing up to doing my DSC1 in the New Year. I have had the manual and best practice quide as well as the deerquest cd. Although I havent had my head in them for a while now i am confident i will pick it all up again quickly [that which i have forgotten]. i found a good place in ayrshire, got in touch and had a good chat about doing it up there, but.... she who must be obeyed has pointed out that it is a 4 hr drive up there and money being tight she thinks i should look closer to home if possible as there could be a big difference in petrol costs. unfortunately due

  15. Birthday celebrations started early this year as I had arranged to get out of the house and down to the farm with some friends and their dogs for a look along a ditch that had revealed a huge scale rat population. Derek bought Bobby his Cairn/Border cross, and his new pup Buck, a Lakey/Fell cross, John had bought his Fell cross by the name of Tia. Britain was again in the middle of a cold snap, we hadn't suffered as badly as some other areas, the ground was frozen solid but there had only been a thin layer of snow. Remembering my last visit I had decided on my wellies rather than my walking

  19. Thanks for the invite Mossdog...it is about as local as you can get to us!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the day out amongst a real variety of dogs and owners. Came away with a couple of good books and Bill got best in show....not for any outstanding performances more for Amber wanting him in every single class he could with her. A good bit of publicity for the breed, and it shows that not everything need be as serious as in the Plummer world at the moment. Some really nice comments and interest from other owners! I will post up photos of the afternoon once they are uploaded! Atb
  20. yup, seemed like lots of people at the show but not many terriers seen in comparison? some very nice dogs about though.... like rocket ronnie said plenty for the family to do and Bilbo had a good couple of runs at the chase the bunny...not bad for a bank holiday and the weather was great! tb
