    Totally agree certain dogs and definately certain breeds cannot be given an inch I'm always on top of her tricks and mischief.... usually This allows the dog to know it's place I think she's just getting ahead of herself if that makes any sense

    not twice a year, please no.... The dog is a very good worker normaly, listens and understands well. Just this last couple of weeks she's become hard work. Like I said she's just scatty and not listening, so I aint taking her out for a while (retrieving anyway) but I'm hoping that this attitude is not a permanent fixture otherwise I'm in the need for a new hunting buddy and she'll need a new job

    Right over the last couple of days my little staff has become a w@nker!!! she is 18-19 months old poss due in season soon. She is refusing to obey some commands, dissapearing on her own back into thicket hunting, has become unsteady to shot, ie I fire my rifle she has been trained to sit and stay to the sound now she runs in. When I have told her to sit and stay I'll go creeping about, when I return she is in a completely different place because she wanted to move!!! I know this is sad but the little git is really gettin to me. The worst thing that grates is that two weeks ago the only issue w

    Wouldnt you be if you found your account deleted then when asking for a explanation the new is deleted also ? Chill out mate and sort it by pm with any mod they will be able to deal with it. Coming on ranting and raving makes peoples backs go straight up. The mods are only human, would you deal with anyone who came up in your face with attitude???

    Firstly as Hannah said you've got a hound this is what they do!!!!! Secondly never give chase they think it's a game Thirdly: training should start in an enclosed space ie in the house/garden start with small distances to stay. Do not call the dog from the stay position. Return to the dog each time he gets it right with a treat, if he moves from stay position without permission grab the dog by the scruff (firmly but gently) and return to where he was told to stay when he has got this start recalling from the stay position but alternate between calling him over and going to him so tha

    Definately is a good tip. I've sent it back today to be either repaired or replaced I don't care which, the bonus is the shop I deal with who've sent it back have given me a scope on loan until mine comes back...... which was nice Just zeroed it ready for tonight so hopefully we're still cooking on gas.     Went out yesterday in the rain. Had to leave early because I couldn't see jack through my scope. The ob lense is fine the water has somehow got inside the adjustable eyepiece. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do???
