  1. Yeah thats true mate squizzers at my permission are hard as nails. Reggaeman will back me up on that one. Si
  2. LOL, 10 metres i wouldnt of mate as thats my point 1 zero, but them bloody squizzers at 5 metres i cant hit for sh-t. Ive tried the aiming 1 mil dot up and then 2 but the flipping things still run off laughing LOL. Si
  3. Yes Davy they were all shot at 10 metres in the petrol station waiting to get their Esso points
  4. Well lads i have read all your posts and i think that i will try the following: Cat food, Chocolate, Peanut butter, Sadines all mixed up in a liquidizer. Going on what you all have tried and what seems to work I will have the ideal rat bait, something smelly and tastey. Festa gave me some rat traps that go in boxes a month or 2 back so i might just try the above and set them as part of my new vermin control DVD. If it works i'll put up a post. Zini
  5. Yes i had a relative up with his border x lakey that gets down the holes well and is very experienced and has been dug to loads of times. We had the shot gun at hand but there was no luck as already stated. My Wheeler x Nuttle would be there to watch and learn more than anything mate. I dont use him really for ground work as he he too big and was bred really for other bigger things that are illegal to dig to if you know what i mean mate. He is also hard as nails and would spend a lot of time healing and scared up which wont impress the kids. Zini
  6. Im sorry to hear what happened Tony. All the best Si
  7. Friend if your heart is set on a PCP then i wouldnt look any further than a BSA Ultra in single shot. Thay are cheap as chips and FANTASTIC Zini
  8. Well done Andy thats pretty good. I know trained soldiers that cant shoot groups like that at 23 metres with a air rifle so your coming on just fine. Keep up the good work Zini
  9. Best of luck Davy. I cant wait to see the write up and pics Si
  10. Hi Joey mate, Thats a nice looking piece of hardware mate How did it shoot down at the club mate. I like the look of the stock too and it seems to of been well looked after pal. I cant wait to see it in action shooting on my permission the next time you come up Si
  11. Thats a really good write up Sweeney friend. Its nice to read write ups where the author is honest about his shooting caperbilities and not shy to tell other hunters. The HW98 is a nice piece of hardware friend so im sure with some more practice you will be hitting them 40 - 45 yard bunnies soon 2 mil dots on my scope would of also knocked that bunnies head off if it was at 45 yards around 41 metres but like you said friend you were not fully confident so you did the right thing and waited Ive got to aggree with Gary, ive shot with Reggaeman on a number of occassions now a
  12. Cheers for the nice replys guys. Yes Phant you need to get yourself and your combo up to my permission to Christen that AA S200 on some North Yorks bunnies You never know mate you might even get a kevlar squizzer or two there are tonnes of them up here Aaron i might just add that game preparation. I have already added gutting and skinning the Zini way Si
  13. Yes Chris that is 33 with what you, me and joey have taken from that spot mate. Barny will be a really happy game keeper. Si
  14. Just on the normal ground mate. We did try the sewage works but the grass was still too long mate so we sacked it. We were looking for fox sets to pop the terrier in but we didnt find any, just badger mate so we carried on ferreting. Si
  15. I would recommend both the R10 and the Ultra friend, they both rock. Ive seen them both in action and they are awesome. One thing i will say about the Ultra and that is dont think because its not the most expensive PCP in the world that its sub standard. Them Ultras are A1, a first class act. Put it this way friend im never selling my R10 as its that good a rifle but my next rifle will be a .177 calibre single shot tactical Ultra. They are mint. Zini
  16. Hi guys, This is from today. A nice mixed bag that was a mix of ferreted and shot. All the bunies by 3 were ferreted. The rest of the bag fell to the trusty R10 yet again Chris thats me up to 33 squizzers now in 3 weeks buddy. The footage today was really good mate. The R10 really nailed the rook and jackdaw. Zini
  17. Great shooting Chris buddy. Thats a nice size lady squizzer. Phant, its just to p-ss you off mate LOL Si
  18. Yes Bedrock as it turned out, one of the fields next to the carp pond was also owned by the Farmer so i got that bit of permission too Im doing some ferreting tomorrow but will be nipping in to see the farmer to have another crack at his ferals with my trusty R10 Cheers for the nice comment about the squizzer Chris. This one was sat at 30 metres, i used the Guntuff laser range finder on him. As it is my zero range it was a pretty easy shot mate. I was aiming for his brain but at the last sec and as the pellet was on route to his brain he looked up a little so copped one in the
  19. Friend the HW97 is a absolute fab rifle. The Weihrauch family from Germany know how to make quality guns. Ive owned a HW97 myself and didnt want to part with it. They are killing machines and will last you a life time if you treat them right. I can foresee you putting many threads up on here with what you have shot with it. Best of luck Zini
  20. Nice shooting fellow, you cant beat a maggie frenzy Zini
  21. Nice going Tony mate I bet you dont need to ever shop at Iceland LOL Si
  22. Hi guys, i just thought that i would put up a few pics from yesterdays hour and todays trip to my new permission that i got only yesrerday. I was lucky enough to be given permission on an utter hunters gold mine, a big farm estate with more fields than you can ever hunt on and more rabbits and flying rats than you can carry in a tractor It all happened yesterday morning before my work when i was going to ask for permission on a carp lake with a bunny problem. I drove down this lane and found a farm with about 50 ferals sat on the barn roof. I thought i could do with some of them
  23. hi guys, im away with my work at the moment and so am replying from my mobile phone. Thats a good write up chris my young padawon you are learning the ways of the force well, one day you will be a true jedi too ok down to business and the rabbit comment mate. I just wanted to explain the context of the sentence to everybody lol. I said to the lads that i have seen a drop in the amount of bunnies over the last couple of weeks and i said i think its a combination of us shooting them and the colder weather making them stay in the under growth so we dont see so many. I then said they will do what
  24. Guys, I have a Russian made Vostok Model 38 .177 air rifle for sale. The gun is approx 30 years old and in good working order and very good condition with the original box, spare main spring and cleaning rod. The Serial number is M46110. The gun has open sights and a weaver rail if you want to fit a scope. I think this gun would make a collector very interested. £100 pick up only. Please feel free to PM me. Ill put up a picture tomorrow when i have time. Zini
  25. Cheers Tony mate, Ive just got a big carrion crow at 40 metres on top of a building 1.5 mil dots hold over, a maggie at 35 metres on a building .75 mil dots hold over, a second carrian crow at 25 metres, .5 mil dots hold under, a big fat rook at 30 metres and a feral pigeon at 20 metres, 1 mil dot hold under all this moring with te R10 and on film ready for editing tonight for the DVD. The first crow this morning was a fantastic shot mate. My eldest son said dad you will never hit that its too far away. He was wrong as i watched the Accupel rise up above the crow and then fall bang sma
