  1. Yes Wuzzy mate. Here is a link with a photo that i have taken off the net for the exact same front rifle stand as i have. You can get them for £22.99 from Uttings air rifle shop. http://www.uttings.com/?Categories/Shootin...es/GunCare/MTM/ The thing is rock steady and really does aid the perfect zero due to the soft rubber bits. The thing absorbs recoil very well and is designed for big calibre rifles, so a springer or a almost recoiless PCP doesnt get affected at all. Ive trialed this and the way i get it to work the best is as follows: 1. Place the rest on a steady table
  2. Thanks Tdesnos and Stealthly1. If i can give back to someone the enjoyment i have recieved from my time hunting with air rifles i certainly will. Its good to share info and educate and be educated by the other members of our sport while passing on our experiences both good and bad. We all have our weaknesses at something or other in our sport and noone can honestly say that they are perfect at shooting with their air rifle at all ranges and in any conditions. By sharing info and nowledge we all become better Si
  3. Cheers guys, Your welcome any time to tag along marksman. i hope to see you Festa, wuzzy and Reggaeman soon. Si
  4. Hi guys, Before I start this thread I’d just like to thank Festa for coming and picking me up yesterday evening and totally looking after me by opening gates and picking up shot bunnies etc while I just sat next to my crutches and shot rabbits from his van window. Its mates like that, and you guys on here that make the hunting community so strong and bold so well. 18.5 years in the military and I only know 2 or 3 mates that would of done what Festa did for me. Cheers fella youre a star Well Festa picked me up last night at around 1730 hrs and we went to my usual zero range
  5. Just to reply to you question TDesnod, yes mil dots are the way ahead friend. You need to stick to a magnification, my favourite mag is x 10, some people like already posted earlier prefer x6 and then shoot at a target at all ranges from 5 to 50 metres or your usual shooting range depending on how good a shot you are. Once you have done that mark on the chart that I’ve posted your aim points for every range and you will treble your quarry bag I can promise. As time goes on and you practice more you will learn the mil dot aim off points without even looking at the chart. Read
  6. Hi guys, While I've been sat at home today ive been thinking about mil dots and how useful they are to us air rifle hunters. I've devised this chart today that will enable you to calibrate your own rifle and scope combo for use in the field. The chart speaks for itself. You just have to put a cross in the table where your combo strikes the target at each distance. You can also mark on the bottom cross hairs your point of aim for the most used air rifle ranges. Its a quick guide and ideal when shooting from a hide or ambushing. Once you know these marks they will ensure tha
  7. That would be ace mate if we could get a Landrover with a open top. I think we could trebble the bunnies in a night. I could also get some good footage for the video. Yes Marksman you are right 4376rabbit you need to go into your profile and change it to a female and fill in the sections Si
  8. Well done on the shooting mate and i aggree your rifle looks the dogs. I think the AA springers are top notch. I have tried Festa's AA ProSport and boy is that gun silky smooth. I shot acouple of bunnies at 35 metres the first time i handled it with no problem what so ever. Keep up the good work Zini
  9. Well done there Phantom, and another great write up friend. I love the way you takes us through your point of view for every shot. Keep up the good work mate Si
  10. Thanks for all the support and kind words guys, ill be back on the road in no time. There is nothing stopping Festa, Marksman, Wuzzy and Reggaeman meeting up at my place when ever and ill either meet you and get you in or get my work colleague to sign you in on the permission. My work colleague 4376rabbit will probably meet you if I ask her and get you in if I can’t be there for some reason. She’s a top lass, she’s is new on the forum and hasn’t got many friends on here, so if you want to add a genuine very nice person who is into hunting and fishing and isn’t a weirdo like
  11. Hi guys, After reading phantoms post the other day telling me someone always croaks it on the Great North Run i thought that id be fine. Well i thought wrong as i only lasted 5 mins and 56 seconds before some forein woman pushed me down the curb tearing the ligaments in both side of my left ankle, "Thanks Phantom LOL". I spent 5.5 hours in Newcastle hospital getting treatment and had to take the embarrasment of getting a ambulance sent to me before i got off the starting bridge LOL. Thats me on crutches now for 2 weeks and banned from sport for 4 to 6 weeks. Them bunnies a

  14. Yes guys I am defo starting to love this little Beezer. I wonder what Marksman thinks of his Super 10? You find it nice to shoot too mate? When does your Harrier come Wuzzy? I bet that shoots as smoothly as a whipped angel delight LOL. Daystate DONT make sh-t guns. Every person ive known who has a Daystate praise their guns and never say anything bad about them. Zini
  15. Nice bit of kit that Reggaeman. Ive got a pump you can have at a good price, say £50 if your desparate mate. Its a Webley pump with hoses. When are you and Wuzzy coming up to do some bunny and squizzer bashing again mate. There was loads out this afternoon up on my permission. I only stayed within about a 1 mile area and didnt bother with other areas mate. How many shots do you get out of your new toy mate and to what pressure is it filled? i guess 200 bar and around 40 shots which is plenty and more than any man can carry. You will probably find as i have with these BSA guns mate th
  16. Cheers Phantom for the vote of confidence LOL I really hope that i dont croak it. Zini
  17. Guys, Been out for a couple of hours with the boy around my permission this afternoon. This is the mixed bag that we got. We also got another rabbit in the fence snare which was alive and well when we got there so i filmed it for my video and then released it to fight another day. I didnt believe that needed to kill it if it was well, id sooner shoot it when it gets bigger. "My choice and very sporting in my opinion". The corrid was at 35 metres walking up the side of a track thinking it was pretty cool like they do. Half a mil dot holdover and a .22 calibre smacked it on the bac
  18. It's OK guys the flap is over. I found out who the rabbit mistery person was today. It was one of my work mate trying to wind me up. My work mate had a good laugh. Thanks for your concern Marksman in your PM. Its nice to know someone has your back. You know that i have yours. Zini

  20. I hope so Festa. BSA Ultra Reggaeman? Thats a nice bit of hardware, i know you will hammer the local vermin with that. Zini Did you get my PM?
  21. Marksman and Festa I was just wandering what time you are coming down tomorrow as Im doing the Great North Run in the morning in aid of Children with Cancer and want be back until later? Its only 13 miles so shouldnt take that long mate If 1800 hrs is ok for you i should be able to meet you in the usual place and we can go out and do some lamping. Ive got a new lamp that we can try out and a good 12v battery pack. Zini
  22. Guy, After reading through my Air Gunner and Airgun World i saw this thread about using a bike inner tube cut down to put over your silencer to stop it getting scratched when out in the field of getting it out of its slip. Luckily my son had a puncture on his BMX and I tested the thread out as I didn’t like the look of the green tape that I was using to reduce the scratches from my slip zip etc. As you can see the rubber tube works a treat and looks the dog’s conkers. Zini
  23. Hey guy’s ive just had a weird and strangely direct PM from someone on here that has only become a member today. The profile is left blank too. The content of the PM has got me wandering what this person really wants information wise. Those on here who know what i do for a living, Festa, Wuzzy, Marksman and Reggeman will understand why i find this PM strange for security reasons etc. It may seem innocent to a lot of people but this person is a NOOB and going straight for the kill with location questions with no explanation why. Ill try and post all the message into here,
  24. Nice shooting Phantom. Thats 2 bunnies that wont be grave robbing tonight
