Aircraft o2 has a slightly higher moisture content than diving O2. ATB Fieldweller will it do any damage if i use it in my pcp? Are you confusing air and oxygen? air has 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen, the O2 will probably be 100% which as the previous post said is very combustible when mixed with non hydro carbon oils/grease.I cant see why you would want to use 100% ? HTH ATB Fieldweller because we have lots of it at work, and its free, but thats where it will stay

ahhhh i see, i only assumed by when you say you use dive bottles, go to diving shops to get it re-filled ect it was oxygen. i wont be re-filling at work then thanks for saveing my skin

if he applys for a temporary permit surely they will ask questions, and possibly get his grandad into trouble? there again if he hands it in he could be in just as much trouble.

Right before I start this topic, I am in no way involved with said procedings i'm talking about other than being told it, and I have advised him to dispose of said firearm asap (he wasnt sure if it was, but i asssume its activated). Anyways, if said person was cleaning out his grandads loft (whos say 90 ish) and came accross a section 1 firearm possibly a .22 by they way he described the domed headed rounds that were with it. Obviously being stored in the loft, he dosnt have a FAC, well i wouldnt have thought so. If said firearm was given to someone with an FAC in the correct caliber (not

good job have fun shopping

thanks, im hopeing to sort it out in the next few days all being well. just 1 other thing, can a referee be the landower who is signing my permison slip??
-
8 photo's?? i read my form as 4, "In the case of an application for both a firearm and a shot gun certificate each of the referees should endorse a seperate photograph and thwo photographs must be signed by you"

I plan on putting in for both, 12 bore for bird .22 for rabbit. My record is as clean as a whissle and im 21 in 2 months, had solid jobs since i was 16 (only changing to progress up the ladder) and been shooting air-rifles for the past 4 years which gives me experience in selecting safe targets (well i think it has). I suppose suck it and see comes to mind, now all i need to do is chase my boss to actualy fill the forms in.

The land has all been approved already, my boss/landowner has a 22lr also, on a closed FAC although we have footpaths running through the middle of it but ive worked the land for 5 years to i know most there is to know about it, and if they have already passed the land, it must consider it safe to shoot on. I would like to do some target shooting but that i can do on the land anyways at the dedicated zeroing point. (nice steep bank behind it), i would also like to add more farms onto my list at some point and knowing the local farmers im sure i wouldnt have a problem getting their permisio

I'm still in the process of sorting out my FAC application for a 22lr (boss is taking his time in filling in the forms ) but i was talking to another FAC holder, and he said, with only 1 peice of land, no length of experience with firearms, and no club, he said the chances of them accepting me were very low. what he sujested was i join a club, get my FAC for target shooting at the club, then 6months later apply for a variation and have the land added. If the first application dose fail (which of course i hope is dosnt) is there a set time between appling again? would it be better to g

someone can correct me here but i think you need land to be able to get an FAC, target shooting dosnt clasify as a need to own one. Best way is to just ask alot of farmers for permision, most dont require payment for it as your doing them a favour keeping their pests down, just pop round a a load of farms, dressed up smart but not over the top, and just explain that you want to help control their vermin for them, if they say no, just try the next farm along. of course when you get your fac with land theres then nothing stoping you joining a club and doing target' shooting, but you will nee

ok ill have a look on that site thanks. of course i would rather have a dedicated left hand rifle, id rather it be in synthetic stock, but im not overly fussy wood is just as nice just takes a bit more care
-
If CZ actually do a left handed version I have missed it..probably just not looked hard enough...BUT if they do ..get the L/H version 100%, don't mess with the right hand!! they do 2 !! just not in sythetic stock http://www.czub.cz/index.php?p=32&idp=...177&lang=en and http://www.czub.cz/index.php?p=32&idp=...211&lang=en i assume they are avaliable in the uk
-
ah ok, yes i know about the bolt being on the wrong side, but i made another post asking how lefties got on with a right handed gun, and the genral reply was its fine aslong as you dont mind the empty ejecting infront of your face. but of course the cheek piece also matters. i might just go for the cz 452 L/H version then then add a custom stock to make it synthetic at a later date (unless anyone else knows of a L/H synthetic stock .22lr) at a decent price of course.
-
a quick question to any style/silhouette owners out there. do they just have a right hand cheek piece, or are they both left and right?
-
so how dose the mentor system work then? do they assign you someone, or do they say "go out with someone you know who has experience?" whats the likelyhood of them asking for a mentor on a first application for a .22lr (oh and shotgun) ??

that blonde last night was just comedy. and that activist, although she didnt agree with it, she still watched it and agreed it was humane and i loved that pet center worker, she had the right idea, wild animals are totaly different to household pets but i bet she gets some stick when she goes back to work
-
they are good programs actualy, i watched all of the other seasons too. I like the way people that go on there as so oblivious to how things are killed and think its "not right to kill them" but rearly, they get killed alot worse in the wild hunted by other predetors than they do by us, and if we didnt bread them to eat them, most of the differnt varity of animals would die out. (talking about the comercial animals here not wild)

Is being a lefty a pain on bolt action rifles?
AzMaN replied to AzMaN's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
ah good, gives me more of a choice over the rimmy range, was just looking through, and there dosnt seam to be all that many .22 L/H's around (and ive got my eye one the CZ 452 Silhouette. thanks for that custom stock link, they look rather nice. -
so rearly the key things are accuracy, reliability, lightness (for holding over long periods of time), shot capacity (for pcp) and finaly looks (lets be honest if it dose everythin else perfectly, who cares what it looks like )
-
thanks for all this (im fed up with the poor shot capacity of my pcr1) just looking to put other peoples choseing methods into practice. I'm looking to apply for my .22LR too but im waiting for my ex boss/landowner to fill in the references ect for me but I'm in need of a better rifle for pigeons in barn control.

Howdie all (and happy new year) Just a quick question id like to ask after reading many of the posts on here about gun choices ect. But what are the main points you choose your new gun on. I see alot of people favour the s400, s410, s200 infact most of the AA range, yet some faver the HW100, HW97, and some Gunpower, BSA ect ect but why?
