  1. Not yet but it will once I have a bit of time to finish it of. But I have been testing it as it is and it holds an edge very well. wanted to do that first before I put the work into making it look nice. have you finished the knife yet mate?, going to try making myself a blade today. looks good in the last pic already, would be good to see the finished result.
  2. didnt do it on purpose, that was the first time i made ginger beer and didnt know it would be that explosive, and the elderflower blew up because i forgot about thet bottle in there and didnt vent the gas a small ammount every 2 weeks like is reccomended. (just to add, we did she secong ginger beer bottle outside like that because we knew we wouldnt be able to open it properly without it doing that anyway.)
  3. nahh i made ginger beer in glass grolsh bottles a few years ago, i opened one in my nans spare room and the stain is still there on the cieling today, we took the other one outside to do it and it must have gone about 20 foot into the air, another sticky experiment for the garden.
  4. hows your champagne ggone? one bottle of mine blew up in the shed and one is in the cupboard, i used 2 litre drink bottles, i can tell ya that made a good mouse trap, it was so sticky, i couldnt get all of it up as it is a wood floor in the shed, went down to she shed in a week or so to find a small mouse laying down stuck to the fecking floor that made me laugh when my mum noticed it.
  5. lol, i think you can dry it and grind it up and use it as a topping for roast dinners and things, thats what they did in a restaraunt in cornwall a few years ago when we were there when we asked what it was they sed it was kelp.
  6. another cigar one but still good.
  7. wonder if that will be put on the open general licence. shooting chipmunks.
  8. what are the bubbly sea weed then? you know the one that covers rocks and when you step on it the bubbles roll and u fall over, either that or they burts and squirt salty water on u. ( no rude comments)
  9. is that the crispy swredded see weed u get at chineese restaurants?, i thaught that was differant?
  10. imagine putting that on your face and rubbing it in.
  11. believe it or not you can eat that. apparently you can stew it with seafood and it makes it more flavoursome, id think it would make it more salty but there you go.
  12. no, the one that gets on my tits is the privalige insurance advert, this is the sound of the middle classes, boom, bang, fecking annoyes me that gun clubs, gun shops, clay grounds etc, arent allowed to advertise yet they allowed to show that, and its not even accurate and clearly unsafe.
  13. i was thinking fixed blade rather than lockknife because if i have cold hands i dont have to open it, then close it again. and i feel they look and feel better to use.
  14. might try that myself when i have time, sometime in the next few weeks maybe.

we had a problem with them a few weeks ago, one day our broadband just stopped working, it took my dad 4 weeks of phoning every day for them to get there arse into gear and send someone to have a look, then another week before it was fixed, then as soon as we got our broadband back our phone line stopped working then it took them 3 weeks for them to do anything, and we were all calling on our mobiles so we had to keep topping up to call them they finally got it fixed, my dad called them for compensation (which they say they give out if they feel the need to from lack of good serv
  16. ok i thaught it would be ok but thaught id check anyway. we went to a local pub/restaurant for fathers day and i had duck so i thaught it must have been in the freezer for a while. i did wonder how long they would keep for but thaught it would be fine, thanks for the reply. atb borntoshoot
  17. sorry that would be telling i was just wondering. we stayed on a campsite at oxwich bay (nicholaston farm) dunno how to spell that and the farmer said that if we lived closer i could shoot the crows, rooks, rabbits when the campsite is closed for winter.
  18. where abouts in wales are you? and what campsite?
  19. also with the handle is the wood two pieces you are going to stick together around the blade? if so do you not think it is a bot small because you want to round the wood to a grip shape and it looks like it may be too small from your picture. just a suggestion.
  20. looks great, never thaught of making the blade aswell, how well do you think that will hold an edge though? also how are you going to harden it? sorry if thats a stupid question but im curious.
  21. hi all, as the title says, just wondering how long pheasant can keep in the freezer? i have 2 birds, skinned ( were frozen when i tried to do them in february), gutted. they have been in the freezer since feburary the 3rd (i think) will they still be ok to eat? considering they have been in there for 5 months? thanks in advance, borntoshoot.
  22. "A quick scan through the latest Attleborough Accesories catalogue shows many such knives in your price range" like i said my dads a scout leader, he buys bushcraft magazine and the like and then when hes finished with them he takes them up to scouts and shows the kids how to do stuff out of there and last month they had an artical about making your own knife and we decided we might give it a go sometime. thanks for your replies atb borntoshoot
  23. the frosts are bushcraft knives are they not? with plastic handles, they do 2 colours, green and blue, my dads a scout leader and he uses one he baught it at the cla gamefair last year and i love it, i was going to get one this year but we didnt go. i was thinking of one but thaught i might go for something more "wooden" (whats the word im looking for) like leather pouch, wooden handle that sort of thing.
  24. hi all, last night me and 2 mates camped on my permission, well one got scared and called his mum at halfpast midnight to come get him, (cant blame him, it was cold and horrible and his imagination got the better of him and he is only 12) anyway during the day while it was light i misplaced my lockkinfe that i use for everything, i was annoyed obviously but i also thaught great i have an excuse to buy a new knife. so i was wondering what everyone uses and and how good it is, also i want something good quality that hold an edge well for under £30. thanks atb borntoshoot.
