  2. Farm collies are all twats i no this first hand because one bit me on the back of the leg a couple of weeks ago when i went to the farmers door he thought it was well funny the price you pay to get some ruuning for your dogs eh

  5. Bullshit! Myxie is species specific. Myxie can't even be passed on to hares, and my dogs and ferrets have been eating myxie rabbits for years: they haven't caught it yet. I wouldn't like to eat a myxie rabbit unless I was seriously starving, but that's just because the thought of eating any diseased animal makes me a bit :sick: I thought that was the case but i wasnt sure enough to post it incase i ended up looking like a dick cheers skykat

And i thought it was only me that this had happend to my first dog pulled hard on the slip when we was 15 feet from the rabbit i was sure he seen it so sliped him the little c**t ran straight past then the rabbit ran towards me i tryed to kick the c**t and ended up on my arse never kicked a dog for not seeing a rabbit neither have i mate i meant the rabbit but trust me i was close that night

  8. good on you mate i no its hard to tell from shooting distance but if you are worried about killing all the rabbits mabey you should try and pick your shots so that you only take the mixies atb with your problem mate

You need to get out and kill as many mixys as you can mate its suprising how quikly it will spread i had this problem on one of my permissions a few years back it was reaaly good running ground for my dog i let the place rest for a couple of month when i went back mixy was there there were dying rabbits everywhere and the place is only just picking back up now

  20. You sure it's the stoats killing them mate? Just curious, how are you finding the bodies? i am findind the rabbits with big holes it the back of thier necks and have also seen the stoats killing them when i see them i let them go about thier bisuness but its getting bad now the amount of rabbits i am finding the land owner has seen them too and gave me permission to controll them i dont want to totally destroy them because lets face its nice to sit and watch them hunting i just want to get the numbers down so i cant still do my part in the winter

  23. i only used to bolt the rabbits i never dug for them i thought it was only illegal to disturb a badger sett by digging on it which i never did. i was only after the rabbits i had no intrest in the badgers that lived there. It would still be classed as disturbing the sett mate so yeah its illeagal and the fines you would get are huge plus the confiscation of any animals and tools you used

The dog in my avitar is a bull cross he was far to head strong for my first dog but i didnt want to let him go there was something about him that i loved unfortunatly i was holding him back so i passed him on to my uncle and got myself a whippet which will be more suited the the ground i cover
