    Cheers for the replys guys i have just sorted a trip out this weekend on some nice easy permission the warrens are on flat land in the middle of the field so hopefully the weathers ok because i dont want the pup loosing intrest cause the weathers crap

    yeah mate i do quite a bit of ferreting thats what he will be used for i will be mainly using him for lamping though nothing better than being out on a cold windy night

    I have just been getting my self a whippet pup he is 17 weeks old now and he is more intelligent than my 2 year old bull x ever was so i passed him on to my uncle so he could be put on charlie more regular the whippet suits me and my permission down to the ground i no he will miss most of this season but hopefully i can put a few easy ones in front of him near the end of the season whippets are the way forward theres no point in having a bull dozer for a dog when the only legal quarry is rabbit and rat atb for the whippets for the coming season

    I have a 4 month old whippet i was asked by a good mate of mine if he could run his dog on a bit of permission ive got on saturday night past to cut a long story short i ended up taking the pup out aswell i never sliped him on nothing just let him watch he was paying attention to the lamp after he saw the dog getting the first 3 rabbits so i waited until the dog retrieved 1 dispatched it and then threw it for my pup 3 times and he brought it back every time do you guys think this was a bad idea or will it be good for the future when he eventually gets sliped on 1 all coments appriciated

    alrite guys i have been reeding on hear that during the season people take there dogs on 6 mile run in the morning and so much walking in the afternoon and this goes on everyday now if you were going out lamping how much would you do with the dog that day would it be more or less cheers

    Cheers for that mate dave told me quite alot about them do you no any history on the sire and the dam it would be a great help Dont know hwhat sire or dam are but sleighty his old school and only keeps lines with bwra champs in the pedsatb bunnys. The sire is an old coursing whippet called tiger and the dam is a little racing bitch called bess i have high hopes for this one

    Thanks for the comments guys he is funny as hell just now he is in to everything i could watch him all day he seems to be picking up my commands really quickly he is sitting retrieving and his recall is spot on cant wait till hes up and running

    the guy that owns her only lives 30 yards from me hes hunting a life time and has the best of stock shes well used to ferrets and is kenneled with another dog. he reckons she is as wicked as they come espacilly around rabbits and stuff he garantees her to work or money back im just curious that what is the earliest you can put them to a fox as i wouldnt want to put her off You cant get any fairer than that mate she sounds pretty handy i dont no that much about foxing dogs but my bull x took his first at 16 months and he never looked back after that atb
