    Yes, there are many animal rescues that are very good - usually the smaller ones. Border Collie rescue also condemned the John Lewis ad because it shows the dog in totally unsuitable accomodation - the kennel appears to be too small, dilapidated and in a very exposed position. BC rescue, along with many other charities, are happy for you to have a dog that lives outdoors if you provide it with a suitable kennel or living quarters.     I have to agree - the kennel the dog is seen to be sleeping in is totally unsuitable, and hanging up a christmas stocking for the mutt is not "caring" just daft. My collies live outside, but not in a kennel like that... Ok, it's only an advert but do not under-estimate the power of advertising and how thick some people can be... How many people bought Peugeot 405s based on the advert implying that they set the world on fire and would "take your breath away"?     I always had a vague idea that P***y came about because of the turnpikes, never heard of the pavee definition. Gypsy, I was led to believe came from Egyptian, and the Romany or Romani people originated in India? They have a very colourful and fascinating history...
