  4. Nice one Butler , best you take a look at them all together mate when you're over this season.... Jasp
  5. I think you're dead right DAZ! when I first started breeding my peregrines I was weighing them every few days, a guy told me that whatever the bird weighs at 30 days is roughly its flying weight! it turns out he was miles out mate... there's alot of differnt things I suppose we all have to take into account, different falconers fly there birds to a condition that they feel the birds hunts best at, some falconers may get a bird flying at a good high weight with alot of fittness and time yet a weekend warrior would probably have to have his bird flying alot less due to its Metabolism and fit
  6. Both birds sound like good weights I know a few includeing myself who have brought finnish birds in the past which wouldn't get near them weights... seems like alot of sport to be had this year lads atb Jasper
  7. I had the choice to either go to this lad and pay £40 or take it to the local Kwik Fit! seems now I probably should have decided on the Kwik Fit. By all accounts they pressure test the system first before applying the gas? this lad just banged the gas in which by all accounts takes him a hour, it then turned out it had a leak and still charged me £40! I suppose he had to charge me something but boy did I felt a bit lighter in the pocket with nothing to show for it...... Jasper
  8. You're right J! some of the more crafty breeders would have done so which is why alot of the pure finn stuff these days aren't quite what it says on the label, one lad showed me a so called pure finn male he brought a couple of years back which was short in the tail and toe and basically not making the stamp in all departments, he paid £850 for the bird which looked more Euro than anything else... You won't go far wrong there! its genuinly exactly what it says on the tin with that bird you have off Darren... Jasper
  9. clever stuff Kay . I thought this camera business was going to be a peace of cake but what a eye opener, I'll take a good 50 shots and bin 49 if I'm lucky before I find one half decent .... Its adictive! I'm now in the running to get some larger lens hopefully in the near future and gleam as much info off people on the forum as possible ... Jasp
  10. Cracking picture comanche . he looks pretty pissed off with the 20p Jasper
  11. Darrens a good gennuine guy WD! you won't go far wrong having a bird off him, the father to that bird you have there is a lovely size bird too ...... Jasp
  12. a Imprint finn male which will be a future donor! probably will be loaned out for flying and brought back in a year or so. Not a good picture but he's off some good stuff! I'm pretty sure he's making a good weight but still a week or two off penning yet.....
  13. Looks a nice bird mate... Did a guy in stoke called Darren breed him WD? Jasper
  14. I'll get some pic's up of all of them together. there's five like the bottom picture and the other two! Five hens would be spot on Butler . there's only a couple of days at the most between all of them age wise, Its weired how the bird in the middle picture is Different than the others ... cheers Jasper
  15. Looks a nice bird Horris . all mine are still being P/R and should be all gone end of the month , can't wait for them to be gone as they're doing my nut in chaseing each other around the aviaries, Falcons went ages ago to a large breeder up north .......
  16. Just a few pictures of the leghorns but not sure whats the cock and the hens! Butler sorted me some eggs out a while back 7 which hatched out and doing well ... the problem I'm having is sexing them? Probably one for Butler..... Jasper
  17. managed to get out for a few clicks this morning! nothing special because I took about 50 and these was the only one's that was useable Young 09 male Finn Gos... "Doris" and "Daisy" female Imprint breeding Peregrines! both look scruffy as they are in the moult... Jasper
  18. obviously the water was pretty cold ......... Looks like he's shaved round his nob too  .... Jasp
  19. well done mark it was a result mate! one guy from spain is still pestering asking me if I can get some from other breeders and he will give me £300 for the female and 200 Muskets, I told him I'm not James Bond and can't be arse with the hassle , he's now sent me a email spitting his dummy out.... You did well mate as they're snapping them up overseas! mind you the agents that pick them up in this country get big bucks for them over there, you would be surprised what they get for them .... Jasper
  20. Trust me!! if that Gun was a left hander and in .177 I would have tabled the cash for you , it looks a cracking set up....... Jasper

  23. now you're talking mate!! Webley Tempests should be supplied as standard equipment in Modern warfare .......
  24. Just fitted a Barratt .50 Cal barrel on my BSA Meteor and its lethal, wiped out a entire Beef herd with it, stood them all in a line and the Bullet passed straight through the lot killing them instantly ...... .177's kick butt when in the right hands ..... Jasper
