I remember going hedge jumping , pissing in milk bottle's and balanceing them on door nobs! knocking on the door and running away. and of course the usual things like scrumping apples from the local Orchards! it got a bit more seriouse as I got older and we reverted to Poaching Pheasants round the local keepers pens ....

Its was the Rockers in the 60's! A few Grebo's in the mid 70 earley 's, and now in 2007 its Frank wadeing in . back then I don't think the Mods had much of a problem with the greasers but taking Frank on is a different story! I'll chuck the towel in now before my scooter gets trashed .... Frank knows what hassle this Moding can be at times! Yep you're right and lets hope so mate! I still know of quite a few who still preach on there but I also know its Impossible to weed out every Bullshitter if you don't know them, my theory these days instead of blowing them apart on a forum is to give them a length of rope and they'll surley hang themselves, I spoke to Kevin a good while back about a pretender and it seems the guy got found out ......

I look at alot of the newer model springers available on the Market these days and to be Honest there's not many that give me a buzz . The old models like the HW80's/77's, the earley BSA Range from Mercury's to Airsporters and the AirArms range still seem to stand above most springers developed in the last few years. A couple of Guns I really do like is the Air Arms Pro Sport and a mate a few years back had a Pro Elite in .177 jacked up a bit which was awsome. if you can go back past and present and you could say!! "Yep this gun had everything I wanted and more" which springer would it be?

Funny you should say that Gary! 12 x 8 would be fine! useing 8 x 4 ply sheets or sterling board, you could then open up a window at one end of side corner, to be Honest I would'nt use any sort of wire for the window! the best thing I have found is steel galvinised conduit from electrical suppliers, you can then cut verticle bars the length you want useing a disc cutter and place them somewhere around 4 inches apart, the Bars I use are 22mm. The good thing about Bars is they don't damage feathers or themselves like they can with wire or even plastic coated wire, the verticle Bars also gives them nothing to hang onto, in t

Much apreciated Nijinski sounds like good sound advice which I'll put into motion with her, the trouble is with me this time of the year is I'm flat out rearing and feeding chicks! thankfully its all slowing down now with chicks getting older so I can knuckle down with the Brittany a bit more.... Bang on Martin , it shocked me in the last election how some parts of the country still voted them in when they had suffered the most, one part of the country with a big hunting Fraternity shocked me to see fall to labour so what got into them I don't know. I realy hope I'm wrong here but whats the bets this country will fall over to vote them in again, to many people will be thinking that cause Brown has now taken the helm things will get better! Flying the birds but don't do it with the same enthusiasm anymore!! I used to be a man on a mision when it came out with taking the birds out and always put them before anything else! but now with kids and age I have to put things more in perspective. I also like getting out with the Guns and a bit of Lamping, to be Honest I'll get out with anyone practicing field sports because I enjoy it all, I may not be able to do it all but I like going out with people who can..... Top Notch post Ditch I'm not a smaker but alot of my family was and still are! I was brought up in a smoking household which didn't bother me one hoot! now obviousley I have my own family things are a little different as none of us smoke, having said that I have no problem when friends or family come round and want to light up! 99% of the time most have the decency to stand on the Balcony or if its pissing down go in the conservatory. So far I have just been taking her out on her own without a Bird around the estates where I know there is plenty of game, she works well and like you say does range out a fair way which did bother me, but after reading your posts which makes sense its not much of a problem now as I can walk onto her anyway. You're right! the main reason I wanted to bring her in close was due to her bumping things up, I figured if she keeps doing this and I'm closer it will allow me to negotiate a slip in time before she finally gets it up. on the Drop to flu
