But like I have mentioned before it doesn't make me any better than anyone else on here just because I have Mod by my name, I learn alot off these lads posts expecially the argueing one's! it helps prepare me for combat when the missus is off on one ....     Tell me about it mate! there's some racket going on in the Garden when they all kick off, at the moment 5 Imprint females are on track but I shouldn't tempt fate ... The pair if the German Imported male in with a decent size Finn bird, if you look at the W ring in the pic you can get some idea how tight it is on her leg.... ATB Jasper

    Probably a Gyr x Peregrine! there's a whole lot go over the sea from many different breeders in the UK, its nothing new its been happening for years for some decent money, the only difference now is lots more people are doing it....

    Just a quick pic taken through the spyhole mainly for Terry on the site of the pair today! the males nest building a fair bit now but the female just Intermitently calls, flashes her knickers to him a bit and thats about it at this stage. things will be moving forward rapidly by easter week , also one of a Finn male going through some basic toe picking and moving twigs about.... The moult can be all but delayed by keeping your bird down to flying weight before the moult takes place! having said this if a bird starts to drop and you cut her down before her new feather/Feathers are penned then you'll get problems with the new feathers like mentioned earlier, its no different than when I have lost deck feathers on Goshawks in the past through crashing in cover or whatever! 99.9% of the time the new feather hasn't come down until the following moult and stayed missing through out the flying season.... I've been reading up on a few makes for a while now but one that seems to stand out for depth is the Minelab Explorer SE, some seem a bit complicated and way over the top! although a discriminator sounds like a handy tool.....   15. I think it was the Plague Wilf that killed them off! some of the bones I found includeing the Jaw bone was of kids, you could see the baby teeth coming through . This is some Info I just found about the place! the time team also did a job on it a few years back, they found a good few skeletons and bits and bobs. there's a old wood close buy called "Crow Wood" I used to go Roost shooting in! in the middle there's a mound with a moat and some old foundations still visable, aparantly this was part of one of the villages where they died of the plague... if you look at some of the pic's of
  16. You won't beleive this Wilf but when I had the shooting and Hawking rights on the surrounding land to where I found the arrow head! I was constantly picking up Human remains , I found lots of bits of skull and finger Bones but my best find was a near complete bottom jaw, thats one weired place..... Jasper

Ok I know I'm getting a sad old twat but I'm getting a bit of a buz for one. there's alot of hordes of Treasure trove and other bits and peices found in the area worth a few bob, one old ruin near by called Bawsey Ruins has uncovered a few Torcs in the near by fields over the years... a good few decent finds have been made within 15 mile of where I live.... Does anyone go Detecting and have you found anything decent? also any ideas on on what make to get? Jasper
