I know mate what its like! I had the last laugh today as some members of my family support Liverpool , Boy did I enjoy taking the piss , its been a good close fought title race and I suppose it could still go either way but my gut feeling being a Manc Supporter from a young lad is!! we won't let it slip now.... I just love it when we beat Liverpool though above any other team, 3 goals wern't enough.....

Are you watching Chelsea and Arsenal .....

By the way I meant to mention not to fly them anywhere near any Cattle/Sheep/Horses. they're well know for taking these when they're a bit keen .... Jasper

Teaching these days should have a Government health warning on it! the amount of teachers in my sons secondary school who have had a slap is unreal one even having her hair set fire to . the trouble is they can't use any sort of physical punishment compared to when I was at school! teachers these days have their hands tied and the kids know it... would I want a teachers Job? Not f*****g likely.... On the other hand what I have a real gripe about is the way they seem to dish out Homework when kids should be learning more in the classes, my kids get piles of the stuff and it does my head i

I'm sure you'll sort it mate . I have'nt thankfully had any problems with it but a guy had a Peregrine with it down this way. this bird had it pretty bad around its Cere aswel as its feet! from what I can remember Rickardo it did hang on for a while and nothing seemed to shift it until it ran its course, the bird did eventualy fully recover though mate which is one good thing....

sometimes it gets worse before it gets better but watch the other birds course its pretty contagiouse.....

They're no problem BRB. Most people Imprint them <Hand Rear them> and they're as steady as a rock! My Daughter has one called "Ozzie" and he'll sit on her hand and anyone elses no probs with no aggresion what so ever. you can get one now for about £40 with Article 10 which is requied by law when you purchase it... My Daughter has taken her up the school with my wife and he will fly to her no problem when keen without being cut down in weight. they cracking little birds and she loves her's to peices, althout I must admit I did the feeding and rearing for her .... cheers all for the advice . I sat down and had it out with my lad first just to see who he may have given our address and telephone number, its now cleared anyone off the XBox and I'm confident its school related... I managed to get onto the Law about this too following advice of the forum and yep you was right they took a fairly dim view of a grown man Threatening to kill a youngster. they asked me all the information on who I think it might be or why its started and I have told them its school, they also took his Mobile Number, the time is occured, the duration, and what was said!! wethe

Pm me who they are Spar? there was a few lads started a group called the Norfolk Falconry Association a few years ago, what a shower mate .....

I would love to Nightvision but my lad knows nothing about where he comes from only his name! Its a large school that has a wide catchment area so he could be miles away, it could well have bene the lads father who rang up by the sounds of things... I'm now onto the law which is the only option at the moment and get it logged. for a grown man to do this to a kid he must be pretty sick, hopefully they'll track the call through O2 and hear exactly what he said to him..... Jasper

I'm seriously Gutted about it! if he was a lad going out looking for it and got what he deserved then what could I say, but having a grown man ring him and obviously doing what he Intended and scareing the life out of him is a bit much... I noticed the last few days he was at school some tension with him but you know what they're like they say nothing!! I have also noticed he locks himself away on his Xbox and we don't see him, before he would like a mate round or go round some friends but not now, to me its all kicking off at school and he's not letting on the whole truth!! when this lad

Bang on 7pm tonight my lad received a pretty nasty call on his mobile! it went exactly like this " I know where you live Bl............ Boy! I'm coming round tonight and I'm going to f*****g kill you"..... I have blipped out my address which somehow he knew. now at first when he told me I thought it was kids stuff but its turned out it was a adult man who rung him .... I'm pretty sure this has kicked off from school as he had a a problem 2 days before they broke up where a lad held him on the field while another punched him in the face, the good thing is my lad did break free and cracked t

I bet she loved you mate . A old Falconer showed me his tail Guard and loaned me his Templates! they was basically the size to cover a Finn male and Finn female, obviousley you just trim them to fit others. I cut my own templates out of card and marked where the folds should be, I then cut the shape out of the X Ray paper and marked the folds, its a bugger to bend but if you get a tsable with a good sharp edge you'll soon bend a edge on it and folder it further flat on the table... One word of warning! the X Ray paper needs washing with a scourer and warm water as it has a coating, if

Bring back dueling pistols I say!! ten paces and Bang!! one gets to meet his maker ......
-
Like this you mean spar? this one here must be at least around 10 years old and seen better days! but X Ray paper was always the order of the day for many years. they need to be contoured with the shape if the birds tail at the quil! if not it nips the quils together crossing the the tips, it must also be uncomfortable for the bird... This one has leather which is pushed over the tail bell but in the past I have used a square of car Inner tube with a cross cut in the middle to pop over the bell....
-
Its a case of doing your Homework spar and coming up with a system that suits the bird, it may not look pretty but if the bird doesn't tangled and there is no problems and its contented then you're doing something right..... Jasper

Just seen Kurgans and it gets my vote . A very nice pair indeed ....
-
I know mate 99% of anything to do with Falconry's not rocket science just a bit of common and being arsed to do it.....
-
Exactly! thats basically what I'm saying. there's been bows about for years now with unscrewable feet but its not needed, the threads get covered in shit and mud and can be a pain. its far simpler to have some decent 8 inch pins or whatever just to knock through the bottom should you need them, wheen you don;t want them its simple!! you pull them out again....
-
the problem here is this will defeat of the object of having a Indoor Bow by adding perminant spikes . I had this in the past with bows and used long tent pegs or caravan awning pegs to pin the bow down. The other option DAZ seeing that this is composite piping is you could drill the end of each foot to allow you to push a spike through incase you need it, I think I mentioned to you about a real old Bow I have here with flat plates for feet! I just blasted a good drill bit throgh the feet to allow me to pin it... Jasper
