  1. Just read all the submitted articles,..splendid efforts... I wish all the contributors well,.they all deserve to win... Kind regards,..CHALKWARREN..........
  2. Lamb Bones with a bit of meat left on,.are PERFECT for running dogs.. They are very similar to the gazehounds natural quarry,...the deer,... When I was lamping professionally,..I was running seven lurchers on a regular basis and feeding them with the right sort of tucker was paramount...Raw meaty bones did the business for me,... What would your dog eat in the wild,...Think about it.... All the best to all true hunters.... regards,.CHALKWARREN....
  3. I'll tell you what,...you boys are certainly well armed God help the quarry,...its fate is surely sealed All the best.... CHALKWARREN.......
  4. Many thanks for that info mate... Yes,.I am a rabbit controller and I have an 'open licence' ... However,.I just wanted to know if the normal power Air Arms s410 would do the business? Your reply has answered my question... Right,.I had best get saving my cash,.. :11: :11: All the best,.ONLYTHECONY........
  5. Hi mate,.nice photo... Not much of a 'gun man' myself,..so,.could you perhaps tell me.... What is the advantage of a Firearms rated Air Arms s410 over the bog standard 12lb per ft model.? I quite fancy the Carbine model...Recently been out with some guys who were using a Logan? and of course the Air Arms s410,.but in an uprated edition. They were using 'night sights' and killing rabbits pretty far out,.almost rim fire range! Will the standard model suit me? Many thanks... All the best,.ONLYTHECONY...
  6. :11: I think you just came of age mate,.... You can only kill what is put in front of you.....
  7. Nice to meet a real deal RobW71,.life is far too short to waste it on divis and sundry low-life non-achievers All the best to you and yours,...ONLYTHECONEY.....
  8. Life sucks,.. :11: :11: Maybe next time,...but ya gotta be quick... Ps,.You ain't seen me,.right...
  9. :11: :11: @ Woodga,... However,..someone is having some fun,.and maybe living the dream And why not,.eh... Actually,.in common with most of the weasel family,..Mink are a doddle to catch,..they exhibit no trap shyness and more importantly,.they are fecking nosey We had several thousand to mop up 'darn sarf' after the antis liberated the feckers...it was emotional.... Any way,.keep at it Ditchshitter,..and remember,.a trap and snare has endless patience.... Kind regards,.CHALKWARREN....
  10. Hi Moomin,...I'm no expert at this kind of feeding regime,.in fact,..I've only just gone back to feeding raw meat and bones after quite a few years of using the various complete mixes. I've always bulked them up with mixed tripe and beef,.but now it gotta be bones and fresh raw flesh. As for approximate weights and suchlike, well,.unless you are conditioning a race dog (whippet or Grey)..or are into match coursing, where tip top conditioning is critical,.I would just feed your dog what it wants to eat. If the fecker looks too fat,.then cut the grub down,..and if too thin,..then offer some more
  11. Moomin,.Get rid of the 'complete food',.it obviously ain't doing the business for you, now is it? Your dog is a predator,.so,.fecking feed it like one... Chicken carcases,.green tripe,.lamb bones,.RAW,..and see how things go.... I'm a born again BARF feeder,...and my pup looks like Bruce Lee,.only much thinner and longer,..and with different coloured eyes Trust me.... All the best to you and yours,.CHALKWARREN....
  12. No probs,.anytime,.but ya gotta be quick.... :11:
  13. Wire the cubby firmly onto the girder,..maybe spread the BMI 116 Magnum trigger wires to allow the mink to look straight through. Personally,.I wouldn't put anything over the wire mesh cubby,..perhaps the odd bit of grass/sedge as a bit of camouflage,..but, basically,.. 'keep it simple'... All the best....
