ive ran a whippet for the last 8 9 years and for shear size and weight you cant beat them ive took rabbit day and night from fields to dense cover hedges and woods shes caught hares day and night obviously not a lot but has and for 4 years she was my only fox dog to mark draw and catch foxes and she did with ease she had a pure hatred for charlie boy shes only 22 inch or so but she has at times put the big dogs to shame and theres a few on this site who have seen hes work and say i should of bred from her she has sooty sam lines

my 14 week old pup is like yours ldr follows me everywhere at times a bloody pain as i keep tripping over him he is retrieving a rabbit skin already which i throw only 3 times a day so he doesnt get bored comes when called or the whistle and when summer comes i will start him retrieving in the edges of the field as these will be longer so he will use his nose then i will take a dead rabbit and shove it down a rabbit burrow so he will hopefull mark burrows. He is learning fast and wants to learn so up to now he is a very easy pup

sounds like kennel cough mate its about my area just give kids cough medicine in the morn, afternoon, night should clear up after a week or two

hi brock 1 im sticking up for the bull x mate i have just brought one as the lads here have them and i think they are the all round lurcher hunting nose and determination and i have always stuck up for this cross i just hope mine turns out like his sire and dam

here we go again. You cant talk about any breed of lurcher on this site at the moment as you get nothing but riddicules comments. Does it really matter what the fuxk the breeding is if you go out and the dog does the job for you then great. I go out 3_4 nights a week lamping with all different crosses and i just love to see a running dog run on its desired quarry end of no matter what the cross is

just read more of the post seems everywhere in Wales is the same. Must admit more lurchers about my area now than dvds and as there is no closed season on rabbits they are getting hammered all year round saw lads lamping in the summer i feel there should be a closed season on bunnies as everything needs piece to breed so if your from my area stop bloody lamping in the summer

hi mate cant beat a straight whippet for rabbits and as you have seen mine she will enter cover if she is on hes prey but have seen a good few beddy whippets and they also tick all the right boxes good jacket and excellent feet for your type of ground. Catch up soon mate and let up know if you need a hand on getting a small type lurcher all the best
