  4. I had a little male that was white/black cow patched. Both of his parents were very hard dogs, and he himself is turning out to be a fine, gritty little dog.The sire is Black, the dam red.But 2 previous litters from the dam to different males, also produced white.I can't say myself where or why,but neither parent shows any signs of softness, just good nosed, hard dogs. And the white/black pups out of the older breedings are as well.If it works good, the color doesn't matter(at least not to me).Good luck uru
  5. Edzy, Those are some fine looking dogs.Very rugged craig
  6. Is anyone familiar with Richard Wallace aka Dickie? He is from England and in his 70's.He kept some very hard dogs that I think were partly, some terriers from Wales. He was a friend of mine's stepfather and his parents divorced, with Dickie returning to the U.K.He had a dog(he stuck in my mind on account of a massive head, that looked like it had been thru a grinder)named "Sibbo" after Tony Sibson the English Middleweight.I appreciate any help craig
  7. I hope everyone here has a great Christmas, and you all get what you want, and are able to spend time with your families.GOD Bless craig

  9. WR, I haven't been on in abit, but it is very sad to hear of anyone's passing. But when someone who has contributed to these fine dogs as Mr.Tyson has is a very sad thing indeed.GOD Bless his family to deal with his passing craig
  10. Good advice craig ps:good looking pups
  11. Chb Lad, WE have never done that cross, but many years ago,my father owned some fox terriers that were full of grit, and aside from the color, and those skinny heads, you would have thought that "they" were patterdales .But my reason for saying that,is based upon "those" Fox terriers,I think if they are a representative of the breed as a whole,it could make a fair cross.Do you have any pictures?I'd love to see them.I haven't seen a Fox terrier in yrs craig
  12. Christian, Good deal.THose look like some serious dogs. And we "do" have porcupines here haha, jut ask Mojo. Those quills can be deadly especially to a little dog.If your dog is hanging with porcupines, you have a good one craig
  13. There is a lady here in the States that breeds a lot of merles, but she call them "Atlas Terriers".They are a combo of Rat Terrier,Patterdale, maybe Jrt.But she used to have a site. Her name is "Autumnbriar".Some are sharp lookers. Here is a link: http://www.imageevent.com/autumnbriar/
  14. B&T, I surely appreciate seeing the pics you've posted.Good looking dogs for sure. Those are some fine dogs craig
  15. Very nice female, she has a strong head and from the looks of her very useful craig
  16. Thank you all.He does need to be trimmed up a bit,but aside from some toning,he is solid. And no C.J.,he is not out of my breeding, although he is bred similar. His dam is "Smitty x Trap",and his sire is a son of "Smitty x Trap" to a daughter of "Simon x Tiny". take care craig
  17. Here is an alright picture of my male.He is about 14 mo.He acts real good, and will go out soon.He is about 17/18 lbs. craig
  18. If this has been covered, forgive me.But have any of you seen a white lakeland?I have heard of several, all from the U.K.And do they come from all white lakelands? One in particular that I'm thinking of,has been bred to a patterdale female, and several generations of continuing to breed to patterdales, they still ocassionally throw a few white/w black patches.Thank you for any help craig
  19. Mickb, Welcome.I hope you enjoy this board.THere is a lot of knowledge here. And good looking terrier craig
  20. Blackntan, " working terriers so called pedigrees are only as good as the persons who bred thems memory and the people who they got there stock off the same applys , they are only records wrote down and past on wether it be brightmore or gould , buck , brey, names of men who worked and bred terriers , whether the terrier past on these days are truly decendents of these mens dogs who knows . unless dna was kept and could now be tested we will never know the truth but pictures of terrier of old lines are there to look back on and compare , records have been kept by many " This is true
  21. FT, I love to hear terrier history/stories,especially from those with firsthand accounts.I have heard many good things about the Brightmoore dogs. craig
  22. Dev, A good job as usual. It seems like things are working well, which is always good craig
  23. Daniel, That is one fine looking dog, that I know happens to be very strongly driven. He should make you a fine dog.Nice strong head, and lean narrow looking build, but still very strong, good deal craig
  24. Neil, It does seem like thieving is getting all too commonplace.Hopefully they get caught. Also,if you know about it,and you don't speak up,to ME,you're guilty too.I understand folks not wanting to bring heat down on themselves by telling, but in this case, telling, doesn't make you a snitch.NOT telling, however makes you a bitch.I 've told before about getting dogs stolen, and supposed "friends" knowing, and not saying a word.Hence, they are no longer "friends",and I've cut all ties.I was told all excuses,"Man,I was afraid they'd shoot my house up".It doesn't matter.I have better sense than to give
