  1. Honcho is a hard male off of our old Cedar dog,who was pure Nuttall, crossed into the Fell type being bred by Linruff off of the Brockton Alf dog bred into the Arnie of Cotswold Hunt blood of Dave Mason.Honcho has been on feral hog, coon, groundhog, possum and really takes to it.Good nose and lots of grit.I really like him as he remind me of the spitting image of his sire, who was one of the best little terriers we have owned. Lil rags is out of some Old Nuttall and Gould lines. She hasn't been started yet,but acts good and has solid parents and grandparents. uru HONCHO LIL RAGS
  2. Thanks all.He reminds me in build of a lot of dogs over your way.Big,strong and capable of handling the smashing if he needs too, uru
  3. Here is a picture of War.He is predominately Gould, with some Booth and Nuttall mixed in.His mother's sire is "Split Lip Slim" a ridiculously hard dog by all who have seen him.His father's dam,"Heidie" was one of the best females I have ever seen period.War is a good solid dog, good nose, the whole package. He is a bigger dog,but ideal for our plans, which is mostly coon, maybe a fox if available. He is a solid dog from a family of the same.Heidie's father died in hold with an otter. And besides all that,I just like him.thanks uru this is his pedigree http://www.patterdale-terrier.fr/KM_Pedigree/Pa
  4. Brog I thought that was you.I'd recognize that hubcap anyplace haha just joshing, good looking dog, craig
  5. Thanks again folks.I'm not saying he's the best,or has the best technique, just that he's solid, will find & not afraid to engage and stay if it gets tough, plus I like him craig
  6. Thank you all.I like him,and I too figured the pit was what caused his silence.I don't mind it though I know some do.thanks craig
  7. These are of my dog "Ike" cleaning out a barn from some coons. This is one of a few coons that day that he took care of."Ike" is 8 yrs old,but will work any vermin. He tore the ear off a feral hog,but the pictures along with a few of one of my Olde Boston Bulldogs working them, didn't turn out."Ike" is 3/4 Old Nuttall,1/4 pit.He is 16-17lbs.He is also obedience trained and trained bitework. uru I have his double bred daughter that is a little bigger, but has a super mouth and this family has a great nose too.If there is a fault(and it's not to me) he is stone cold mute.He won't make a sound, and
  8. Sorry I can't be of help, but I have a friend that uses his patterdale to bloodtrail the deer, and another that uses his with his hawks to flush out rabbit. He was worried that the couldn't do it together, but he raised them up no nonsense and it works, good luck uru
  9. Sylvain Great dogs.I'm glad you're here uru
  10. Merry Christmas to everyone and may GOD bless you and your families.Be safe and enjoy the holiday craig
  11. Alimac That's what I was asking. There is no dog in particular I am referring to,just in general.I ask this based on conversations when folks say"too big for me".But I agree with you,as long as the desire to hunt, and everything else is in the dog,why would one not keep him?thanks uru
  12. How big is too big for folks.I know in the U.K. the dogs generally are a bit larger. So how big(weight wise) is too big for you.If the dog works good and hard, locates, everything, just on the big side.DO you keep him,or discard him.Keep in mind he is a great working terrier.( just a hypothetical question,no real dog in mind) uru
  13. I sent you an e-mail about a man in Tx uru
  14. Good looking pup & pups.I don't know,I'll probably get bashed on,but I have seen Patterdales here ,that looked awful similar to that. And plenty have been workers. But it is your pup,and you are the only one that needs to be happy. It's easy and common to say "worker to worker" cause that's a hard one to beat. But again, your'e the only one that needs to be happy and he is a sharp looker, uru
  15. Very nice looking dog.The color is unique,I like it. uru
  16. I wasn't meaning to start any trouble, just asking what I thought was a simple question.I am sorry if this was interpeted wrong.I have the utmost respect for Mr.Nuttall & his dogs.I only looked for knowledge that someone may have regarding this.Sorry uru
  17. If this has been discussed, forgive me,I missed it.But can anyone tell me ,when and thru what dogs the New Nuttall began.I have some old Nuttall bred dogs and they are gritty.I had a pair of the New Nuttall blood and they didn't satisfy.I was told that Nuttall changed his breeding because the old style were too gritty for the houndsman and needed a softer dog.I don't know, but it seemed to make sense.thanks uru
  18. Sharp looking dog.I like him uru
