I'll probably get reamed but the BEST Patterdales are.............the ones from the U.K. no doubt .There are plenty of good ones that are offspring of them,but the best of them,are the ones who came form the country/countries of their origins craig

EMC, Of course digging would be the tops,but I think ratting is a good exercise,that hones the speed,reflexes,and is especially good for younger dogs/pups,OR if nothing is available.I agree,too much arguing,and putting folks down for what they do.Lots of folks want to poke fun,and make somebody just not want to post pics,or stories,for fear of being bashed.I prefer a one on one if possible,but if it's too much,and need the reinforcements,there's nothing wrong with that in my book.However too many people are two-faced,and THEY will use 2 or more if needed,but if somebody else does,they complai

Thanks,all.Actually,she belongs to a friend,who hasn't let her work yet.She is about 13 mo,but ALL of the rest of the litter have started and worked well to coon,groundhog,and one on a bobcat,w/another older,VERY HARD experienced male.We have been pleased,and both parents are very good workers,with great nose,and grit craig

I too have heard of this sir.I am not familiar w/ it(Thank GOD) as we have never experienced it.But we have never bred blue to blue.We breed them to work,and when and if they come out blue,we keep them.I have to say,honestly though,we have not had a blue that didn't work well yet craig
