  1. What the feck is the pouting about dc. Lololol.
  2. Don’t worry about it jiggy Scot hates everyone catholic and ain’t bothered where there from. Lol. At least he’s consistent.
  3. That’s the thing fatman lads were talking like they were common when their far from it. A terrier that has worked 6 or 7 seasons mute while taking very little stick is a very rare thing. And any man that can breed them consistently is a legend in the making. They will pop up very occasionally if your breeding from hard mute, hard mixing terriers as will really good sounders. I know of one sounder that was worked hard for 4 seasons and always got a result the times there was a second hole dropped could be counted on one hand and if lads were honest to themselves and about there dogs there is pl
  4. Calm down lad. I believe things I’ve seen with my own eyes not what I read on the net. If I’m ever proved wrong I’ll be sure to let you know but I can’t see that happening anytime soon.
  5. Don’t worry I’ll not lose any sleep lad. Lol. And don’t be taking it so personally I’m only a username on the net as you are to me.
  6. Throw me up one of these mute types that take no stick in September and I’ll drop it back down in February and if it looks like It did when I lifted it I’ll walk the hole way home butt fecking naked. Lol. It will be feed the best, kennelled the best but it will be dug every week and give a few proper testers. Bound to be someone take me up on it as these sort seem to be in everyone’s yard and real common.
  7. I’m not disputing what you have are the style he worked, what I can’t believe is that he did all that with little to no punishment. Are hinder. Lol.
  8. Quarry doesn’t need to be dug multiple times before it becomes testing.
  9. Why was he not dug every week. Are 3 or 4 times in a day. I’m not a novice to digging dogs and know plenty of lads that are out 3 or 4 days a week throughout the season but I’ve never heard of a mute dog that didn’t take stick. I’m not talking about a dog that works it quarry to a stop then takes hold, As that to my mind is not a mute dog, im taking about the dog that takes hold first chance he gets and still gets it to a stop are hold mid tube till dug which sometimes could take 2 or 3 hours are sometimes much longer.
  10. Some of the very best terriers I’ve ever dug to work the way you lads are saying and probably of very similar blood, but the mute ones have always ended up taking stick.
  11. time that ain' the situation and the earth are plenty big. Not all dogs that take hold will get busted they have a brain and use it. I'm wore out from explaining this I think the mix up is some men don' want to believe it So they don’t work mute, only when it suits them. That’s where I was getting mixed up. Sorry my bad.
  12. Don’t take this the wrong way lad but I have to call bolloxs on this one. What do these mute terriers do when quarry is in tight and I mean proper tight And he has to take what ever hold he can get. I think what’s getting people mixed up here is there idea of a terrier taking punishment. Some lads will dig a dog a week after taking a bit whereas I would think the same dog might need 2 or 3 weeks off.
  13. Honestly fd if every terrier man over here culled everything they dug after two seasons there would be nothing left to dig. And that’s the real reason.
  14. I too have heard of these mythical beasts that work mute for hours on end and take little to no stick, I’m yet to see one, not saying they don’t exist but I’d say their a very rare beast indeed.
  15. I know I’ve already said it but I’ll ask the question. I know it’s different disciplines but when it was legal to run other stuff in the uk would lads have accepted a dog picking its runs on other stuff? Just interested.
  16. I know how you think it is. But it ain’t. Lol.
  17. Just because a dog will bust a gut to get to anything it’s slipped on doesn’t mean it can’t run smart.
  18. It must only be rabbitters that will put up with a dog picking its runs. Can’t see a man that runs fox, deer, are hares thinking it’s ok if he slips his dog and it decides Na that ones not for me. Lol.
