    i am thinking of starting speargunning. i have done snorkelling before but only 4-5 times in the sea. i am looking for a good cheap speargun for bass & flaties from 2-8 IBS. dose anhyone know a good one? it has to be under £45. cheers Aaron.

    magpies never really cause a problem round my place. i have plenty of them but there not making a serious dent on the bird population. i still get the same amount of blue tits, great tits, coal tits, longtailed tits, finches and sparrows every year. i feed them rats i trap once and a while and ive seen them devour a whole wlarge rat in under 4 minutes.

    get an insurctor. yes you can self teach but it only ends up in bad habits. you will add a distance to your cast and your line wont land splashily on the watere with an instructor. all these little things can meean the difference between a good day and a bad day.

    waqsnt mucch left of its face! if i was in that sittuaition i wouldent hhave fired down the hole. i would have had good look to see if what i was shooting at was what i thought it was. a man once shot a working ferret claming he thought it was a mink. in the open. in broad daylight. he should have. 1. make sure ne can identify his quarry well 2. gone to specsavers

    best place for bass in wales is by far the gower perinsular. you can fish on the causeway between the mainland and the island 'wormshead'(although its good fishing it can be a bit dangerous since the tide gos so fast) and rhossili beach is really good for bass in the surf with "maddys" basically tiny lil' ragworms wich you head hook and put loads on 1 hook. youve also got a chance off mullet and flatties in the surf there. also st.davids carfai bay has really good rock marks were peeler and rag work best. caught my first bass on the fly off wormshead.

    nice gun there rob! serious peice of kit that scope! to be honest rob ive had a think about it (although they still might let you hunt on the land for pest control) the main reason they want pepole on the land is to supply vast amounts of rabbtis and pigeons to the company. you know the enormous bags they get when shotgun shooting and decoying. so unless you can either 1. provied the same ammount of pigeons and rabbits or 2. they let you hunt on the land just to controol the pests.
