    Ireland

years ago the land was hopping with rabbits. I could easily shoot 100 and still get more the next Sunday. but now there scarce. same for the grouse. We had so many when i was young. hard to find plenty of hares now as well. you could see 20 hares in a field easily. also I remember playing with the corncrake chicks as a child. Joe

    shnoodle

If you had a standard Schnauzer cross standard Poodle from good working parents proven in the field and police work then it may make a good decent working cross breed. I would think. but I think what you saw was the result of a scam to sell puppies . Joe Kelly
  13. good shooting and nice terrier. I wish we had that amount of game where I live. I would never shoot a hare though. Good luck. Joe Kelly
  14. I met a lady a few years back who was walking her two terriers. one was a Yorkshire terier and the other was a bigger yorkshire cross , so I thought. I asked her what is the bigger terrier adn she said that it was a pure Yorkshire that was from a breeder who had successfully inlarged the breed through his breeding programme. It looked like a westie with a yorkshiore coat. The larger of the two I could see fit for a few rats, thats about all . Sure thats what they were bred for anyways, ratting in the mines. Joe Kelly
  15. What if you let your hounds out on a domestic dog accidentally or hypothetically? Would they still kill it? How are you stag hounds with terriers and husky type dogs . Joe Kelly
  16. Good shooting. How are you. The weather has been near freezing here 3 - 5 Celcius with gale force winds, sleet and hail and only 8hours daylight. There seems to be plenty snipe out but I can't get the courage to go out in it. I wish we had that weather you have got. Good luck . Joe Kelly
  17. Fine beasts you got . I was thinking that was a white Boxer is it? Was Borzoy added to the Bullterrier somwhere down the line? I know in the past it was adde d to Rough Collies to accentuate the Roman nose . Joe Kelly
  18. what sort of hounds are they? fierce weather we had today. Joe Kelly
  19. No dog should be kicked . i would have knocked Neil over the head with the battery. You lads should have left him where he dropped.
  20. undisputed. That albino robin picture you put up here is the American Robin, from what I can see . Could it be an Arctic bird which was carried in with the storms wehave had?
  21. Nice to see an unconventional gundog being used. I use my sheepdog and terrier cross at the moment. Joe Kelly
  22. Lovely children you have and a some fine lookng hounds . The brindle greyhound is very nice.
