Glad you had a good day but sorry mate a 5 month old lab puppy out shooting is far too young if she is running round the woods and field she is well on the way to doing what she wants and not what you want.What is she like on the stop whistle, does she walk to heel, does she retrieve dummies perfectly to hand i would imagine you have lots more work to do before she is ready to go shooting but all the best Geordie -

Hi fishfish That brings back memories i was brought up in mid wales and on many nights me and my mate would me keeping watch for my dad and his mate, they would do the gaffing with a barbed fork on a long pole and a big torch. Me and my mate would be either end of the valley and if we saw a car coming we blew the whistle and the torch would go out till the car had passed.That was on the upper reaches and tributaries of the River Dovey. My old man has been dead a few yrs now, i would give up everything i own for one more night on the river with him again Geordie

It is for that exact reason the police would never issue a certificate with .22cf. Calibres are specific, commonly taken a .22rf would grant the authority to purchase .22cap, .22short, .22LR but not .22WMR. There can be no argument that a .22WMR is a rim fire cartridge and has a bullet diameter of .22", however no RFD in their right mind will sell a .22WMR to a certificate holder with the authority to purchase .22LR or .22rf and this is a fact, why? Well because I have tried it and was told by both the RFD & the Police, NO! If anyone has any doubts at all, just go and try to buy .22WMR am

Hi Dan Apart from coyotes what else do you work your dogs on.I come over to Dwight every year and i would like to come out hunting with you guys and see how you do it on that side of the pond. It's right though, I really don't want to sound like I'm trying to start trouble or moan, but it's just a pointer to people who don't think everything through, then have to rush about trying to get the tails docked. Hi All I am quite capable of docking them myself i have done enough terrier and spaniel pups in the past but two of the people who want pups want it done legal one is an airline pilot the other a fairly high ranking copper they both come ratting with me and don't want to be answering awkward questions in the future.It is ok for people who have nothing to lose( dolies and dosse
