    I used to love watching the whippet derby every year at Newton Aycliffe they used to come from all over the country.I’m sure it was a 2 day stake and better than any greyhound racing,I think that’s what made me like the whippets a lot as for a little dog they have some fire in them and think a lot of people under estimate them.

    I can’t believe you think farmers get bullied off the police to lose your permission ffs.The only way can may lose your permission is if they pull you coming off your land you have the perm for at 2-3 o’clock in the morning.They talk to you ask you all the stupid questions they normally as you like there has been a burglary even though you don’t fit the description,then knock the farmer out of bed to check.The farmer will tell them you have or not be happy at that time in the morning then tell you that you haven’t after this.That’s the only way I’ve see that’s mainly lose the perm and the poli

    I remember my mate over Cumbria saying he had 3 good bullxs on a red stag and he said these dogs knew there job on them.They had a strong hold and he said the stag was like a steam train across 2 fields,and could here it snorting as it was going the dogs ended up falling off as they were tired and couldn’t hold on no more.He said it deserved to get away the show it put on.

    I was at a coursing meet for greyhounds with John and Rupert slack who had good deerhound greyhounds,and there was a greyhound who’s trading had won a few at altcar I was stood talking to Rupert and John slipped the greyhounds,this little bitch had muscle on its back legs like arnies back and it come past us and pushed the hare into the ground (with a muzzle on) as if it came out of a cannon.I’ve been brought up with greyhound racing and this must of been one of the fastest greyhounds I’ve seen and to do what it did.If the ban didn’t make them wear the muzzles this hare was minced.I’ve never s

    Who was on about the summer pal,if that’s what floats ya boat is probably why ya dogs are catching that about of hares ya keep slavering on about.But it’s definitely nothing to brag about.But like I said we were catching 100+ rabbits a night in the 80s and 90s as there was that much to go at.(No Salukis were harmed in this reply)

    Forgot to add he tried to go to ground with my border dog when he was 41/2 moths old to in a pipe.I just managed to tail him and get him out.

    My son had one it’s in that pic I put up on the tumbler lurcher thread,he was a little cnut for them and keen to run roe with the big dogs.He was a firery fecking even in the kennel once he was settled.I’ve seen him nail a 29inch deerhound greyhound just for rolling over onto him in the kennel and the dog couldn’t get out the way quick enough ??
