  1. I stand corrected. Never used one, they look too awkward to me.
  2. I thought that style of slip lead took 2 hands ? one to hold, one to release the catch ? Not too easy when lamping.
  3. I think in there current KC state, they would be as much use as tits on a bull, but thats just what I've heard, and have no first hand experience with the breed.

  5. I remeber reading that the coat as we see it today, is a result of out crossing the Borzoi to Russian sheepdogs, a few hundred years ago though. Like the look of these dogs, and a friend who breed my lucher has one, that I would love to see on big land, after a hare.
  6. That I dont agree with Bill, I feel its more to do with the police not wanting to get involved, so they turn a blind eye. No money in it for them, they would also have to step out of there nice warm cars.
  7. Mine are in the house, but have full run of the grounds, due to a dog flap. Not full run of the house though, just kitchen, hallway and front room.
  8. I'll have to video my mates paterdale on the lamp, it does ok on the bunnys. Actually quite funny to watch.

  14. Yeah, I agree, cold water in a fairy liquid bottle could well be the easiest awnser to your problem.
  15. A fox will hold on tight, and not let go, in the right situation. I have had to pull a foxes jaws open to make it realease a pet dog of mine before.

Love hearing about these rarer sighthounds from you, and others :-) Do they have summer, and winter coats, or are they shaggy all year ? and do you have any more pics? Love to see one shaved
  19. I find rabbit and hare are mainly red, fox orange, roe orange or white with a green tint. My dogs wall eye is white, his brown eye is red.
  20. No worries, It is an interessting thread, and I only ask as I was interessted to learn how different the history and dna of the north african sloughi is to the saluki, ext, so just interessed if the game dictates the shape ext. Also, the Tazi seems smaller, more compact, than its low desert cousins,
