  1. '89 Dodge 1st Gen. 5.9L Cummins Diesel. It runs on the tears of hippies...
  2. It does 63 dead and 64 injured since December '15. Often enough for it's own Wikipedia sub menu. What it doesn't list is the ones... ... that are thwarted.
  3. Agreed, mate. I think the prevent ship has sailed. It should be now bolster defenses and work on damage limitation.
  4. I can accept that. My issue stemmed from when they did have the money and the resource but squandered it. I don't think for a moment that the cuts were a desire to see the system fail, but I think you might have just started a new conspiracy movement! I honestly don't think this is going to get any better until we leave the gulf. The outrage we're witnessing in Britain is understandably justified but it's simply mirroring the outrage in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, where our representatives are hitting their civilian population whilst trying to take out legitimate objectives. With some o
  5. Fair one, Born. What bothers me is that they're increasingly asking for more security, and more surveillance, powers. If they can't utilize what they already have, or aren't capable of monitoring credible threats at what point do we give up our liberty to the stage where there isn't any? I can appreciate that funding has been cut and that frontline staff are struggling but some of the kneejerk reactions are very alarming for those of us that don't want to live in a police state.
  6. The yanks have had these advice leaflets out for a while. Granted it's for active shooter situations, but I'm sure that given the current climate that GCHQ could publish something similar? I know this isn't a conversation that most want to be having but you don't have that luxury anymore. It's time to develop further skillsets.
  7. I'm going to leave it here because we've derailed a perfectly good thread for personal sport. I appreciate the sentiment above, but it's not accurate. It's not the first time you've made a few mistakes, yourself. I've read it back to front, front to back, and I've taken chunks and analysed it and all because of where I live and who I have to interact with. It's part of being engaged politically and understanding my local representatives who are working in my community. TMI for here, but these books have a negative effect on my community and are standing in the way of progress. I don't
  8. Re-read what I posted. Especially the bottom line. They're both works of fiction. You've read both of them. So have I. It's like Depp's Pirate Code... More like guidelines...
  9. They're just books, mate. Nothing more, nothing less. They're not even good books. They're all evil in the wrong hands, and they've all been used to justify some f***ing horrible crimes but that doesn't make everyone who reads the books a criminal. Agreeing with some or all of the book doesn't make you a criminal. Committing a crime and claiming the book told you to do it makes you a criminal. That's what we're losing in the midst of all this finger pointing.
  10. I love to learn new things, mate. Problem is we're not! You think it's true. I don't. Let's try not to f**k up the thread any further!
  11. Maybe it's time to bring the troops home from the gulf? That man power would come in very handy securing the borders and I'm sure the elite units wouldn't mind contributing their skills sets, to the civilians, while we clear this mess up?
  12. If you read these bronze age myths they're full of contradictions that are taken as gospel by their followers. The bible is absolutely okay with slavery, incest, and paedophilia. Most christians don't do that, however, so to suggest that all followers take it literally?? ... I'm just not buying it. Francie is absolutely correct though... That is for another thread.
  13. Fair one, mate. I'm not going to hijack this thread and swing the discussion but I don't believe that every mosque in the country is teaching people what you say it is. I just can't buy that. I will say that these cults attract certain types of people. People that love power and influence and like to prey on the weak. My views on religion aren't a secret but despite my disdain for them I still don't believe that all religious people are predisposed to the actions/crimes of some of their holy books.
  14. Yes they do teach and impose it! I'll accept that they've left the torturing heretics thing alone for a while, but they were pretty big on absolution for vols back in the last few decades. These days they generally stick to sexual abuse. The point is you're on shaky ground if you're trying to claim one religion is better than the other...
  15. Catholicism has some dirty fingerprints...
  16. Britains got some of the strictest surveillance practices invented... Once again the public sector was asleep at the controls. How many lists was this guy on?!
  17. The spoiled ballot... That's a protest vote. It's a start for sure! I couldn't agree more but change has to be demanded at the ballot. If there is less than an 85% turnout, at this election, then people should be looking at society instead of government. We have a small number of ways to influence how we're governed and if we're not going to exercise that then we have to accept that we're to be ruled. The people that this forum seems to despise turn out and demand their views are heard at the election. That's why action is taken. Our homegrown team complains incessantly about politics
  18. I used to get death threats through PM! Don't worry though the 101st Chairborne Division are strictly online activists!
  19. Not really it's down to trusting your colleagues.
  20. Nope. I just refuse to condemn the collective based on the actions of individuals.
  21. It asks bigger questions about your internet search history...
  22. There's an election next week. I'm sure the patriots will be out, in their droves, to change this unacceptable situation?
