  1. Two cracking looking dogs there Lucky  how are they bred [bANNED TEXT]?
  2. Thats a nice looking pup you got there [bANNED TEXT] as most of the dogs bred by turk seem to be Is she a first cross?
  3. She had a go on a fox as a youngster (about 2 year old) and after getting bitten back wasnt intrested in them anymore As you said probly more to do with her attitude than her size (she's not the gamest of bitches!), Cant complain though cos she was a rescue dog and i only got her to do a bit of lamping with which she does ok at so im happy
  4. I keep a 23'' bitch at the moment which is great for running the small fields around here. But she's not a fox dog and there tons of those about so i would rather a bigger dog in the future perhaps a nice bullcross
  5. Thats a gutter stabs realy sorry for you

  9. Nice dog youve got there sicko looks a cracker. Like the look of the pup too should be a big bugger, like the look of his breeding too
  10. Had this problem with my collie grey x beddy grey when she was younger, somedays i would take her out and she'd been keen as mustard other's id more or less have to drag her out the door !! She was like this up until about the age of 3 then she just seemed to naturally get over it and havent had a problem since. Maybe if your walking him on strage ground and hes a bit of a shy dog hes just a bit nervous?? otherwise maybe just under the weather a tad
  11. How does the wheaton x greyhounds compare with the bull crosses as out an out fox dogs? Most of the boys round here keep bulls for foxing so have seen polenty of the them working but have never seen any wheaton's working. From what ive heard they tend to have the same fire as the bulls and in some cases even more!? Could be the better option post ban cause the certanly look less suspicious that a a big bull x covered in bites  ?? Also they have the advantage of a thick coat and better feet?? How do they rate in the field though?? :search:
  12. If anyone has any could i see them please :search:
  13. Thanks for the advice boys i will certainly take it on board, took her to another vet and she suggested that she may indeed have overdone it in the heat. The first thing i done as soon as i got her home was to put a towel soaked in cool water over her which seemed to do the trick. The fit itself only lasted for probably about 1-2 minutes seem like hours though!!
  14. Thanks for the advice boys. Ive been going to a couple of shows and may go up to the welsh to have a look, and just to have a chat with some of people up there.
  15. What in your experience is the best method of entering terriers to earthwork? They will be my first terrier so i will have limited dead foxes etc to let them rag and very limited oppurtunity to take them out on a dig as youngsters as i dont know many people locally that go diggin that aint complete arseholes. So what i want to know is does working rats, bushing going out with the lurcher etc give the terrier a better chance of entering to fox? Also going to have to get my shotgun licence to stay within the law
  16. The bitch is just over 6 years old, its never happened before. It may have been heat stroke but i didnt think it was THAT hot? When it actually happend there was no froth or shaking of the mouth just stiff legs and very heavy breathing. Could it have been dehydration? iv heard of athletes fainting when they have become too dehydrated??? Thankfully she seems back to her normal self now!
  17. While out walking with my bitch yesterday she started playing with another dog after about 10minutes chasing each other and play fighting my bitch seemed to collapse and just lie on the floor with her sides heaving and her legs shaking as if having a fit??? Took her straight up to the vet but the they could find nothing wrong? Any ideas what this may have been? Ever happened to anyone else on here?
  18. Does anyone know where in wales i can find roe and muntys? dont want to hunt them...yet just have a look and see waht i can find
  19. What cross do you all prefer to work and for what reasons are they your favourite? I personally keep a beddy x grey/ Collie X grey. But in all honesty i prefer the look and no nonsense power of the bull crosses. I think a lot depends on the quarry and land you work though. Would love to hear everyone opinions cheers Gareth
