  5. My old staffy got hold of a frozen loaf of bred and ate the whole lot. His stomach swelled so much it put pressure on his spine and resulted in an expensive trip to the vets! :sick:

    Myself and a mate are looking for some land locally to keep some livestock etc any ideas on the best way to find any local land for rent? Anyone know if the local council keeps this kind of info? Cheers gareth

  10. Im in the south Wales area, looking to get into a bit of digging. I dont have any terriers of my own at the moment just a lurcher. I know it's a bit of a long shot but do any of you boys know of any clubs, or hunts etc in my area that may be willing for me to go out and tag along with them, even if its just carrying tools, digging etc anything just to get some expeirence. If anyone can help give me a p.m. cheers Gareth

  12. How exactly does theis lamping of the back of a vehicle work? Only lamping ive ever done has been on foot walking up to any game,. Do you get a higher success rate lamping off the back of a van, judging by the pics you post you always seem to get plenty of game in the bag

  16. Just for some fun and to get a bit of a discussion going, how would you rate the following in importance for a running dog to have, in your opinion for the type of hunting you do? Mine would be 1.Nose 2.trainabillity 3.coat 4.endurance 5.speed 6.gameness However most of the work my bitch does is lamping and bushing for rabbits only, so obviously it will change from person to person.
  17. As darren said it may be the high protein content in his diet as this can happen with humans if their protein content is very high. Just give him all the fresh water he can drink and he should be fine!

  20. Good question, id have a small whippet cross for ferreting, a big bull cross for anything bigger than a rabbit :whistle: :ph34r: and a couple of well bred bulls for breeding future lurchers and for anything a bit more tricky :whistle:
