  4. thanks for the ideas lads ,there was one time when i just finnished picking the dog mess up and putting it down the manhole then decided to chuck the contents of two hutches of sawdust down.well it was very scary trying to chuck gallons of water down before the father saw what i just done,never again .it just seemed as though the saw dust was fighting back and was soaking up all the water i threw down. will check out these forums.cheers everyone. good hunting rew

  6. hi hob&jill they are litter sisters.dam is a whippet x greyhound and the sire is 1/2 greyhound 1/4 whippet 1/8 deerhound 1/8 collie.thanks luke i really am looking forward to get these two out on the lamp and will like to see how they do on the big rabbits.thanks again good hunting rew

  11. lol was thinking of doing something similar by burying it but as i only have a small back garden and neighbours both sides to me i dont want them complain with the smell.if i had abig garden i would probabley consider doing that.compost bin same again probabley lead to flies and maggots and a very bad smell after a bit.was even thinking of burying it somewere else but dont thing the council will agree with that.lol going of the subject i was thinking of buying or making something which could make electricity for the freezer,something like a miniture wind turbine.anyone know were i could get s

  14. was thinking today about the amount of plastic carry bags i go through for the ferret waste and then chuck it in the bin .just wondering is there any other better ways of getting rid of it by being a little more enviromently friendly. we have already have been recycling in our household for the last two years or so but will like to be that little bit more green. good hunting rew

  17. sound like a handy dog your mate had.not retrieving can be a little annoying at times deffanetly(spelling) if your poaching.but to me its about watching the dog run but going to start the pups retrieving from an early age to hopefully prevent this. good hunting rew

  21. fly and fern are 11 weeks tomorrow and are coming along nicely.they had there second lot of inoculations last tuesday so we should be taking them out this coming weekend.we've been doing alot of retrieving which is now very good ,we have just started getting them used to walking on the lead and getting them used to the ferrets.they are both 15 1/2 inches and we are feeding them on beef mince,beef tripe and vegetables with abit of dry puppy food through out the day we have also started to give them nice big bones to chew on. looks like fly is going to be finer boned compared to fern but you nev

  25. maybe true but i havent ever had a problem with picking the kits out the day after they were born and i have had five litters,last litter was when i was 13 i think i played with my ferrets for hours and they were very tame.even one time it looked like my polcat jill was having problems with giving birth so i even took the sack of one of the kits.so can you tell the sexes of day old kits.cheers good hunting rew
