  1. Might be difficult i know but kids are back at school so might be possible to get two weeks off work for something you might not do again.
  2. Nice one hot meat will let you know. Some fishing might be good for them rest days I probably need.
  3. I seen the woman presenter for countryfile was walking it. As we can imagen the scenery was amazing but it would be awesome going along with the lurcher, I imagen them catching there dinner most days as they mooch about. Thanks mate, if I do decide to go I will definitely film it for everyone to watch.
  4. Hi guys, just wondering if anybody would be up for this two week adventure? I think it would be a great way to get the dogs fit for the following season and a great achievement for yourself . The coast to coast walk is 190 miles starting at the irish sea through the lake district, the Yorkshire dales and then the Yorkshire moors to the east coast. I think beginning of September time would be ideal. Anybody actually walked the Wainright coast to coast before? all the best
  5. Trigger, they isn't many dog lads around my way. Only lads I do know tend to have the bigger dogs. Will keep looking though.
  6. Vin, good choices will actually use them mate. If you can think of some more then drop me a link. Including you tomo, if you know of any music that will fit into a hunting vid let me know, maybe something from your time in Ibiza. Thanks Jim, that is a very kind offer and I like both dogs. We all know how good snipe has been and that bitch looks a lovely animal. Sent you a Pm. A pup would be the ideal start again, just wish I took on a pup long ago so I wouldnt be in this predicament. I was so adamant to get the best out of fly but each season we have another injury but the poor dog wil
  7. The video is being edited now. I know its taking a while but want to make it look good for you chaps. Need to find some back ground music that's not to over powering so I can remove the wind. Writing a script for some narration to go into it as well. I will pop over soon tomo show you what I have done upto yet. Well I will be going on holiday june 24th, lanzerote. So hoping to try some rabbit dishes and go looking for them podencos tomo.
  8. That's a nice dog but Im looking for a bitch. That breeding would be ideal , always liked the sound of this cross. Been looking at similar sites . thanks
  9. To Ideation , Fly broke her first toe running down train line. Very fast bitch, ran her on bad ground in the past and probabley didn't give her enough road work. I had sciatica and could only take enough pain killers to go out once a week lamping or daytime before my operation. Since her amputated toes, the other have had to take the work load since.
  10. I trialled a dog last season bred out of Andys Don. The bitch caught me 11 rabbits on lamp and retrieved them back . I obviously didn't have the bitch in the end and did feel a bit of a tit for not taking her but I honestly prefere longdog types for some daytime work.
  11. Not seen many litters advertised and not many I like the sound off. That's why I would like to breed my own but when that happens I don't know. My only option is to buy an adult if I want a dog to work this season but they are few and far between.
  12. my jills showing some tit and starting lose her fur for bedding. ready in 5 weeks
  13. This has been really niggling me a lot lately so I thought I would share it with you guys. In two months time I should be getting a dog fit ready for next seasons hunting but again like the last few years all I have is my old lurcher fly to hunt with once or twice a week. Because she has trouble with her feet she is best suited to the ferreting game and not lamping or daytime retrieving which I really miss. We did go out 3 weeks ago and she caught 3 rabbits on lamp but missed a few more. I am happy with what ever she catches these days but some times its not enough. Now im driving I
  14. Looking good josh. Need to get some action video of him next season. Where the pics of his litter mates.
  15. Lovely looking bitch. Shes got a nice thick coat on her as well. Will be going out with a friend that does some bushing with his terrier but doesn't catch much. Hopefully teaming up with a lurcher might produce a rabbit for the pot . Good luck with her as the seasons go on.
  16. Thanks again, just editing a new one from when I went ferreting on the dales with tomo and vin bolting to the dogs. It's an hours worth of film and I should edit it down to 10 mins long or less. Some brilliant runs to watch and dogs didn't miss much.
  17. Mini Fly. I prefer brindles to any other colours and both pups look smashing. Good luck with them guys.
  18. thanks dog45, yeah she was unlucky that time. Fly is whippet grey with a little deerhound and collie as well.cheers

  20. wow!! btw I have subscribed to your channel. Going to watch more of your vids. Great stuff
  21. Thanks again for the comments, if the videos make you want to get out with the dogs then I know im doing something right atleast. Vin, I will begin editing that footage straight away. It will be the next vid I upload so expect some very scenic footage in the next one guys. fitchet, fly has suffered badly through her hunting career with bad feet. Constantly knocking them up and now has a couple amputated plus the strain on the other toes has meant the other toes have been knocked up since. It has effected her running obviously and she only gives 100%on the ones she has a good chance of
  22. thanks furittus im glad you enjoyed the video. More to come, got plenty of editing to do.
  23. The ferrets a breeze to work with, just breeding her now and hopefully have some kits like her next season. I have been mooching a couple days a week and finding lots of rabbits and new warrens to go at next season and I cant wait either.
  24. cheers guys. Fly is a gem to hunt with and Its been a cracking last season but I cant wait to have a pup to bring on, im sure fly would teach it a lot of things.
