  1. Brilliant mate, Love the clips and pix, Thats a smart dog you got there keep up the good work. Nice bag
  2. This is exactly the same as we do it works well, After taking the time & effort to make my nets the one thing I really don't like is loosing any or leaving any behind.
  3. Same for me as has already been said, Out with the Ferts two weekends on the trot and found Does early in young but haven't bolted any yet. Just when we get a cold snap which seems to have reduced the mixy job and along come the young can't seem to win
  4. All done, Lets hope its not another job. Keep up the good work.
  5. Sorry to butt in on your thread I see a few post back a Mk3m collar was mentioned I have just got one of these and wonder if it works OK with the mk3 box, It came with two 394 batteries and the mk3 collar takes 393's can you use 393's in the mk3m collar OK?
  6. Some great pix there mate looked like a good session keep it up, love the white Ferts must get some myself as the polys I have are getting hard to see with the growth never seeming to die back these days
  7. I'm proper pissed off, At home reading how you are all out having fun with your Ferts and stuff. Cant get out myself all my usual ferreting partners are busy with family things and my two sons have discovered the opposite sex so their minds are like scrambled eggs for the time being lol, Things will come right soon I've no doubt, Probably when it starts to piss down again Never mind hope you all have some good bags and keep the pix coming
  8. I quite agree, From what I have seen if a dog doesn't enjoy running a lure it wont do it. A fit dog is a happy dog.
  9. nice to see you got boots now lol lol yer i dident even know i had them untill my old girl told me where thay was lol lol See if your old Girl can find your mate a pair too lol
  10. Believe it or not but the bones will blunt the plates in your mincer, Not that the plates are sharp but they rely on sharp 90 degree edges inside the holes on the plates once these become slightly rounded off thats the end of your mincer. I know cos I've done it Like Kay says Feed them raw dogs love it all, Ferrets will eat what they want no probs. Feeding raw meat has been covered before If you do a search then all will be reveled
  11. That looks like a nice clean bank to ferret, Wish we had a few like it round here Good on ya Lads keep it up. Oh and keep an eye out for the Beast of Bodmin Moor next week lol
  12. A bit few and far apart at the moment, But next summer keep a look out in the Game Fair section on here or the CW for shows with racing in your area and your off
  13. Love the Terrier racing, We ran the racing events at several shows last summer also sim coursing for terriers great fun The only down side for me is I'm the one that has to get the lure off the little devils at the end lol This was a great laugh at one show we did
  14. Nice detailed post mate, One Man and his Dog and ferret able to work alone and get a good bag to boot, Thats quality time you'll never forget.
  15. Devon School Cook of the Year Well done Deb I better get some Game now and put her to the test
  16. Someone was certainly looking down on you for sure Well done mate, Make the most of it
  17. Hi James, I'm one of the lucky ones who know exactly what Widecombe-in-the-Moor looks like due to the fact I am at Ashburton. Perhaps we should meet up sometime for a day out with the Ferts, I've got a LOT of permission around and about
  18. Mixy rabbits Skinned out and paunched my dogs and ferts don't seem to turn their noses up at them.
  19. Must admit I thought the same F.F Looks like a good day was had by all, well done lads Brilliant pix too.
  20. I couldn't agree more, 4 months is very young don't be disheartened they will come good given time.
  21. Thank you to all of you for your help, Sorry if I got some of you worried But as you can see in my previous post progress is a very slow process this end
  22. I've had a .22 for twenty years or so with open sights, never needed a scope for rabbits or fox. Always had something else to sort out the odd roe here and there before the busy body's got involved I've since moved on to land with a lot of deer, When the land check officer came to see me as the land had never been checked for a firearms he pointed out that deer cannot be shot with a .22 and perhaps I should apply for something bigger.
  23. Thanks for that S.S that sounds something like it.
