  3. Just voted mate! We got both setups, fore's and against with both but lately seem to use mk1 the most so voted that way
  4. DOG KENNELS ?? SHREDDED PAPER BEDDING ?? INSULATED WALLS ?? Think summits wrong in this house!! I SLEEP IN THE BLOODY KENNEL
  5. Thank you all for your help on this, I do sell to local people but it was just the fact it is a pub that got things going!!
  6. Does any one know if it is OK to sell wild rabbits to eat? I have Just been asked buy a local pub if I will sell them about 6 wild rabbits a week, As you can imagine this request went down very well with me. Until someone said they thought there is something that says, With out complying to Food Hygiene Regulations, IE A Chiller Room, Correct prep facilities, packaging and transportation etc etc, We shouldn't do it! especially to Restaurants and pups. Now! The Fridge, Kitchen, Some freezer bags,And the family pony Has been OK for years so did any thing change when I blinked
  7. Any up-date on this one yet?
  8. They don't throw-up on the lounge carpet ether lol
  9. Always feed raw to my dogs, Paunch them as soon after they are caught as possible, remove skin feet and head (ideally on the field - saves putting the crap into the recycling bin and causing all sorts of problems) then cut in half and Freeze. The front piece still contains the liver and heart. About 8 hours before feed time I put 1 piece on a small amount of dry food with a splash of cod liver oil and leave it to defrost - They love it. Oh and I find worm every 3 months is adequate.
  10. Home made Hemp nets for me every the time I know it's been said before but it's right Look after them and they will look after you. Wouldn't have them horrible tangly nylon things as a gift
  11. Well done! Looks like a good start to the season hope it continues for you
  12. Great idea Mate hope it all works for you, It'll be great to see what goes on down under. Can't wait to see the results.
  13. well done mate Nice one mate. Were they day time hares or lamped ?
  14. Sounds like you had a good day mate. I've got nothing against guns I've got them myself but I like my ferreting to be peacefully just nets and dogs. Keep the shotguns for the flappy things and the Rifle for any thing bigger, But each to their own
  15. Well done mate, Sounds like a good start
  16. The freezers full and all the family have eaten well
  17. Our first time out this year with the dogs and ferrets. Gypsy was on the mark Somethings bumping gypsy waiting for the Bolt, One the nets missed but Gypsy didn't. Finished up with 17, 13 to the ferrets & nets, 4 to the dogs and no mixy in sight YET.
  18. ATB with the pup mate, Got a little Merle myself she is a very willing bitch Good luck!
  19. Good work lads I take my hat off to you for your dedication, If I'm honest that bury looked like one I would have walk on past
  20. Just thought I would put up some pix of our first ferreting day this season. Three Generations, The old boy ain't so nimble on his feet but still wont let us go out without him. Putting nets up among stingers is no joke my hands have only now stopped tingling. Gypsy can hear something going on. One thought it had found a unseen bolt hole but didn't bargain on Gypsy. A stubborn one but the old mk1 was spot on just as always. The weather was so good we all came home with suntan faces. The weather was so good we all came home with suntan faces
  21. are you leaving them in the collar all the time? you can get very good silver oxide batteries from e bay, think I payed around £12 for 50, this is the 2nd season Ive had them, and still half left I don't leave them in the collars, I think I was stitched up with the price they seem to be better priced other places.
  22. One thing I noticed with the mk3, It seemed to me to be heavy on collar Batterys. Three sets per collar in a season @ £5.00 per set.
  23. Must have been in the right place at the right time sounds like The mk3 came from a fella that could'nt get on with it. The mk1 was in the local paper, that fella was giving up
