    Stone the crows whats the sp here everyone seems to of gone stark raving mad over the xmas period ?....everyones turned into a bunch of whingeing little old women getting upset on other peoples behalf ? I can barely remember the names of more than a handful of members and i dont think its any coincidence that some of the ones who have gone literally used this place as their social lives ?...funny little gaff this sometimes !

    Stone me theres some f****n oddballs on here ,too many years watching Starsky & Hutch for some ?     Beautiful E - Type there....the more original the better in my experience.....breaks my heart when you see folk putting aftermarket parts on classic old cars.

    I have a few old motors put away for a rainy day just because i like cars....just before xmas someone owed me a few bob and i took this as payment,not quite a " classic " yet but not a bad motor....drives like new to be fair i really like it reminds of different times.

    Agree with all of that we in this country seem to have a hard time getting our heads round the fact that dogs are property.....having a dog put to sleep if a suitbale home cant be found should be basic common sense. In reference to the " rescues " we was looking into a rescue dog ourselves several years ago,until i realised in many cases it was nothing more than a way of financing the obsessive hobbies of mad little old ladies.

    Out of curiosity Mchull......was you interested in all that Ufc stuff when it first came about in the early 90's ?......i honestly thought it was a breath of fresh air.....at last " real fighting " i thought......i went to a few Vale Tudo tournaments it even inspired me to start taking it all a bit more serious in gyms back then....but little by little more and more rules came in so as not to upset folk and now your left with something thats not even close to a real fight.........just for once i thought " sport " was going to override " money "....but no.....its a huge industry now of course b

    I think every generation probably says the same its why old people tend to not be particularly happy people ? But i do find it hard to imagine another generation of people who have had to endure as much radical change to " normal life " than the era we currently find ourselves in.

    We've booked a little cottage in the Lake District leave tomorrow till about Tuesday i think it is....quite looking forward to it just me the wife and 2 other couples we've known years should be quite a giggle nice food,company and scenery....look forward to seeing the grandson when we get back....hope you's all have a good Xmas all the best chaps

    Certainly a mad ol drop of weather we've had there it was -7 this time last week....today it topped out at 17....dunno whether to buy shorts or scarves !

    The whole " its gone too far now " attitude is a defeatist attitude but a perfectly logical one as Brits when we look around us.....but i like to think as first world intelligent citizens we ultimately do what we think is right anyway,we all have our own morals to uphold and i dont think any proper person would literally throw the towel in and deliberately go against their own beliefs....so whether it be as a simple tick on a ballot or in more active ways we can all only do what we can do......maybe its wishful thinking on my behalf but im of the opinion that people will only be pushed so far

    Personally i was delighted Argentina won it......it was a great advert for nationalism in my opinion......a team of 11 men the same who all identify with each other,who all identify with their staff and supporting fans.... beating a team of various shades of Africa,of which 9 were non European ....trying to win the " world cup " for France,a European nation. When you stick with your own good things happen.....good for the Argies.

    I think as a tv fan the coverage was good and we tended to forget the fact that it was being hosted in a non football country...but having spoken to a few people who went im told it was nowhere near the excitement or atmosphere of other tournaments......." staged " is the word im hearing it described as,which makes perfect sense really.....as you say though thankfully it was what happened on the field that made the headlines.

    Personally i dont beat myself up too much over mistakes/regrets.....ive made thousands over the years but its all part of life,what might of seemed an acceptable way to treat people as a hungry,aggressive and determined young man i wouldnt find acceptable now but there was probably some old geezer looking at me saying the same years ago so its just the natural momentum of life for working class men in the areas we came from in my opinion.......looking back ive done things im disappointed with but nothing i cant live with.....i dont know anyone thats lived a perfect life so who am i to judge an
