You must of played over Wanstead Flats Wilf.....think it used to be called the Echo league.......clubs like Senrab,Puma,Leyton all good clubs......used to go and watch a few pals over there used to be a great atmosphere must of been at least 50 pitches.........id get lumbered with carrying out the goalposts !!

I thought Emlyn Hughes was better than Gareth Edwards................................oh did he play rugby as well

Couldnt agree more with that mate........this is why the theatricals in our game doesnt bother me too much....nobody likes it,but thats the price we pay for havingso many foreigners in our game.................the plus side in that though is we have the strongest football league in the world......over the last 10 years we have seen a quality of football in our premiership the likes of which we have never seen in England before.....if we have to put up with a bit of noncey rolling around and play acting then so be it..... Our game in England was always about strength power and getting stuck in

.......Im a footie man.....ive really tried to like Rugby, i went to my first game last year when the All Blacks came and played England....i thought well if im going to watch it i,ll watch it at the highest level..........i was bored to tears by half time it just looked a mess to me......but i accept theres most likely skills i just dont recognise......i respect any sports and sportsmen played at a high level......i just dont get the rugby fans always wanting to down football......it dont work the other way footie folk dont constantly bitch and moan about rugby......and i dont understand wh

I used to think like that Wilf.......till i went to a few games in Spain,Holland etc......the education of the game they are brought up with in these places really made me question my thinking ( similar to yours )...........in junior leagues in Holland its actually against the rules to tackle !......we are so far behind the rest of the world in our approach to the way the game should be played it does make you wonder if the old " get stuck in " attitude is really ever going to take us far in the international game.....i dont like all the theatrical bollocks in our game today either....but i do

Cant see Eubanks boy being world class..........................................................he,s not from Hartlepool !
-
All this " rugby players are real men " and " footballers are pansies "...........its such a stupid comparison to make. Its like saying rugby players are fairies compared to boxers because they dont punch each other in the head all the time.........most people would accept different sports require different qualities.........rugby is about smashing into each other....football is not.....how can they possibly be compared
-
I see....ok i didnt know that....pretty sure in England though its the wealthy university boys and private schools that play rugby.....i mean, have you clocked some of their accents......they wouldnt of let me in
-
If it was me id take the dog out for hours at a time on a regular basis......the trouble with taking a young dog out for a quick hours exercise is they are so excitetable you really cant get a lot done through the dog not concentrating........most dogs will calm down after a while and its then that you get the dogs full attention and have him " in the zone " so to speak..................i wouldnt try to do too much with an exciteable dog you,ll just frustrate yourself.

Nobody wants to see nations wiped away mate......but having sent billions over the years as a nation we,ve done our bit.....if they cant get their act together by now then we cant live their life for them..................they are human beings with brains the same as the rest of us if we have kids they are our responsibility......
-
Is this one of them big tough rugby boys versus little sissy boy footballers topics While i dont disagree about the horrible influence foreigners have had on the English game.....lets not pretend rugby is squeaky clean.......are we to just forget about the fella chucking fake blood in his gob.....the England squad acting like jumped up film stars.........................or how about that Warrington Wolves player who got done for engaging in sexual practises with his dog !!!!!! I hate the fact that football seems to have become the viewpoint of which society makes moral judgement......its

....Cant remember my own name half the time yet the useless info thats stored away in the back of the mind.....

If your going to dictate a law...................then learn it first !.... Sole charge.......meaning if a person is alone in a home with a dog they are in " sole charge "........and theoretically your back in court.......if it was as simple as 1,2,3........................... The reason i aired that was because im not in the slightest bit ashamed of it and have absolutely nothing to hide in any respect.......im an honest person mate i dont lie and bullshit my way through life like some folk ..........now .....i have 2 guesses. 1.This is not the first username you have had on this forum. 2

Id go along with that

They say the Vivaro/Traffic drive pretty much like a car comfort wise......from what i used to get told they dont tend to have the life of a Transit....in other words 130k on a Vivaro is a lot of miles where a Transits just run in on 130k .....
-
Dispatch/Expert/Scudo are all exactly the same van along with the lwb Connect they,re the biggest of the small vans....will take 8x4 sheets yes.... if i remember right the Dispatch has a slightly higher load than the connect....swb connect is 625kg ...lwb is 775 kg.....Dispatch is around 830 kg......roughly from memory that is

Laughing at another mans misfortunes ................i bet your a real popular guy.

I do hunt mate...just i have to rely on others so cant get out anywhere near as often as id like............i cant see why folk stress over what other people do or say.....if you dont like somebody dont talk to them or read their posts its not difficult.
-
Ive nothing to hide mate...im banned from owning dogs .............so as much as id love to a morning out hunting for me takes a lot of organisation as im not doing anything with my own dogs....im lucky to get out once a week !.......im extremely jealous of a lot of you lads who can get up and out whenever you like.......doesnt mean i cant have an interest and desire to gain knowledge though does it ?.....im a big believer in learning from experience, but when that experience only tends to be a once a week delicacy......knowledge must be gained in other ways im not ashamed of that.
-
Totally agree with that.....why some people feel the need to tell folk they dont know what subjects to talk about and what subjects not to talk about i dont know If you was in a pub you wouldnt walk up to a group of folk and tell them not to talk about a dead pop star or football...........you would just mind your business and go talk about something else.....................really not that difficult is it.
-
While i respect the impressive qualities of a Greyhound or Saluki...yes i would definately put the performance bred American Pit Bull Terrier way above them as achievements within the canine world..... Strongest dog on the planet im not sure about or much care to be honest......and no their reputation was not built upon 1 or 2 good dogs........for me,a good representative of this breed will be first and foremost a deeply game dog in his heart.....followed by the lesser but important qualities of great intelligence and outstanding athletic ability.......i believe the type of gameness a fightin
-
If its for plastering you will have to rule out the smaller vans like berlingos or swb connects because you wont be able to get the 8x4 sheets in .....if i remember right the lwb connect is the smallest van you will be able to get them in......used to have a yard full of vans years ago you could of virtually helped yourself but its a Mcdonalds now
-
Not knocking that theory mate......but a 3 year old ex rental or ex royal mail van on 40k will often be a far more abused van with more problems than a 3 year old van off one of the national courier boys thats done 120k of motorway miles. Never right off the high mileage vehicles without first seeing where they came from
-
Small van ? connect,berlingo size.....medium ? vivaro size.....or large ? sprinter size 3 grand would get you about a 54 plate at around 90k...connect " " " " a 54 plate at around 130k....vivaro " " " " a 52 plate at around 130 k....sprinter Very rough estimate obviously.....hope this helps.
