Your making silly comparisons between totally different sports,are you aware your not allowed to kick or elbow in boxing .......Yes James Toney a washed up former boxing champion was beaten by a world champion and all time great ufc fighter...................but i say again......who and where are the washed up ufc fighters fighting world champion all time great boxers ? The fact that plenty of boxers have gone straight into mma at a high level.......but no mma fighters have gone straight into boxing at a high level.......should answer your question for you

Its one of the useless bits of information stored away in my head but im positive when slugs come into contact with copper they get a small electric shock.....it doesnt kill them so you wont need to scrape up mank of any sort it just encourages them to go somewhere else.....pretty sure you can buy copper strips you could put around plants pots etc,if not chuck a load of pennies down !

Using an example to keep it simple............ Dana White the overall big chief of the UFC,threatening and dictating to the the worlds greatest fighter about how he must and must not fight ........in order to make things more entertaining for the crowd. Entertainment is about fun and enjoyment.............Competition is about winning or losing regardless of fun and enjoyment.

Ive heard it all now......ive got some very strange concepts on sport,because im not interested in listening to sportsmen talk !!! He is NOT paid to entertain...........If he plays a tennis match but doesnt talk afterwards he gets paid............if he doesnt play a tennis match but has a 5 minute talk he does NOT get paid !!!.................He is a professional tennis player NOT a paid public speaker. Dont feel sorry for people like me mate,i was born into boxing and i,ll die with it..............for me a few idiot characters dont ruin what is still the purest form of competition there is.......ufc is entertainment......boxing is competition.......the reality is sometimes a competetive fight just isnt all that exciting.......look at how some of the early ufc fights with fighters like Shamrock/Gracie etc played out.....30 minutes of not particularly interesting grappling for position on the floor......BUT thats how fighting is sometimes its not all that exciting.........i dont care for excit

How many ufc fighters have boxed professionally ?...........seeing as boxings where the moneys at logic would tell you if they could.....they would........ A few washed up pro boxers have gone into mma and fought at a high level......where are the washed up mma fighters that have gone into boxing and fought at a high level ?

My point being Simoman.....folk like yourself say this and that about boxing and how the " rules have changed ".......your wrong,boxing never sold out on its morals like the ufc did..... No........paying fans should be going to watch a game of tennis............and its his job to play tennis not talk...........................................and if you want to hear what a highly emotional athlete has to say 2 minutes after the heat of battle then dont be surprised if he doesnt come across as " a nice man "

Apart from the amount of rounds now being limited to 12.............the sport of boxing hasnt changed in over 100 years !.......................ufc is barely recognisable from what it started off as,a mere 20 years ago.

If you market something as " a real fight "....then thats what it should be.........................as Simoman says that quickly changed due to outside pressure,ok you accept that to a point..........................but to then take that to the point of telling a world champion he cant fight a certain way because its not entertaining enough.......i think is the time it risks not even being a sport !

Dont sound like you have any idea what go,s with a competetive nature..................dedicate your life to something,live eat and breathe it......then reach the pinnacle and see if you dont have any emotion...............he was probably relieved it was over just as much as he was gutted at losing...........i just think its a shame we feel the necessity to shove a microphone in someones face when their at the height of their emotions.

Sometimes you just gotta accept being beaten by a superior opponent........Murrays a young lad never been in a Wimbledon final before playing against one of the all time great players whos won Wimbledon 6 times already......id say he gave a good account of himself and if he,s a true competitor this wont have done him any harm at all.......

I think in the main they try and power home the first serve and then if it fails they seem to rely on more spin/accuracy on the second........as regards the putting the ball into the corners....even for someone who knows nothing about the sport like me it seems obvious Federer is seriously strong on the forehand and Murrays trying to keep away from it.......think he,d rather force an error on the backhand than face his forehand......notice how Federer seems to run his body round the ball to enable himself to hit it on the forehand sometimes rather than play it backhand.......quite interesting

Far as im aware Wimbledon is the greatest " Grass " tournament not the greatest " outdoor " tournament..... As for the grass itself im no expert on lawn management or groundsmanship........but my guess is they probably know what they are doing as regards how the surface plays rather than what it looks like.

It started off as " no rules "...." cage fighting " whatever you want to call it.....it was started to see what the outcome of a " real fight " would be........yes id call that a sport. Ok over the years the rules have changed to suit tv etc........but it should still essentially be " a fight " not a means of entertainment.....i dont care how a fight ends as long as its a true fight...............................if the management are going to dictate how one of the greatest fighters of the sport wins his fights your on a steady path to silly boys wrestling................you cant tell someone
