If Brits were indeed ahead in terms of blood why would you say there hasnt been a pure family bred dog over here for many years ?.....id be very surprised if there is a dog alive today in England with a true pedigree let alone a good pedigree......Like anything else quality speaks for itself when somethings good people preserve it as has been done with several lines.......it doesnt say a lot for British dogmen if there is virtually nothing left of great dogs from only 25/30 years ago which is a blink in historical terms. As regards the big yards i agree......what was we saying about Ed Reid a

In terms of certain individual dogs i wouldnt argue......in terms of blood i would say we was way behind the Dutch.......which i think has been proven over time.
-
" thin on the ground ".....theres your answer.....some bloodlines that carried not even a tenth of the number of Reid dogs have aged and been preserved like a fine wine yet the Reid dogs were left to go to ruin. Some people dont look further than the end of their nose its like Jeep being a 17 point rom dog, so what the dog was lined to literally thousands of bitches over his lifetime, compared to a 7 point rom who only bred 7 bitches ....it doesnt take a brain surgeon to work out which the better producer was !!

Not sure id call it a fact...its certainly a bold statement and an opinion id respect but not agree with personally. Yeah but you southern mob from the big smoke never did give the jocks the respect they deserved Not everyone.......i just never understood how the work of some good dogmen created glory for somebody who never worked a dog in his life....im certainly not about to get into arguments that still go on 30 years later but the reality is Reid marketted a " brand " very well but was never any more than a business/shop and as such luck played a huge part in his success lets face it

Whats peoples problem it was only the other week there was folk on here saying how they would " do whatever it took " to come out on top in a fight......car,knife,bat whats the difference.

Only thing that makes me laugh with ed is the way he words things. Maybe its the age? Not gonna say he goes on like mayfield but he talks like a sales man. Sees something and blows it up more than what it is and uses all sorts of words. Nice enough bloke though not slagging him in anyway. Thats probably because he,s always been a salesman.......doesnt mean he didnt produce some exceptional dogs though.

Thats why i expected you to be climbing the walls at Poyet not putting his best side out. Look at Bradford now.....they,ve drawn Reading in the quarters and must feel like they have a real chance of getting to Wembley......what a feeling for their fans.....supporting a premiership club i shouldnt really be jealous of them but i am !

What fans want and what managers want are rarely the same thing......as true fans of a club we shouldnt give a shit about bank balances and squad rotation we should want to win the next game......for most of us the cup competitions are the only realistic chance of glory,to me any fan who puts survival in front of glory are not competetive enough i remember Wolves fans going absolutely nuts the other year when Mick Mccarthy put out a reserve squad for a cup game.... and rightly so......30 years ago even 20 or 15 years ago it would of been unheard of to put a weaker side out for cup games.......

Which relay team was that Gnash? Out of interest, I looked at the Olympic relay teams but could only find Asafa Powell who tested for the stimulant Oxilophrine. I can't find anything on the others.... I'm not trying to pull you up on it as such but if it was true it'd be a fairly heavy piece of evidence! Hence why I briefly looked. You can pull me up all you like chief if im mistaken im mistaken.... without trawling all round the internet i couldnt tell you i just remember having a conversation last year with someone who knew a lot more than i did and that was his take......maybe i

Normally anything with " pit bull " in the title pricks my ears up but i cant even think of anything worthy of comment on such good for nothing monstrosities !

If everything about the car is the same and its purely down to skill of the driver then thats fair competition.....but regulation doesnt stop teams trying to gain an edge which technically can be massive differences......define cheating ?.......surely its something against the rules to gain an advantage so if 2 people start a race on juice how are either of them gaining an advantage........it might not sit right with people who are content to merely compete but for those who aspire to reach the top its the reality of world level sport and has been for years........certainly beats jumping in a

Slightly different but my daughter got me a dvd set for Xmas called Life Below Zero about people living above the arctic circle i found it fascinating, many of them are living purely off what they hunt.....heres a quick clip im not sure if it was ever showed on Uk tv but its a real good series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAssLS-isuc

The Sunderland centre forward who took 5 touches to control the ball from 7 yards out cant blame the pitch,Adam Johnson dribbling the ball round his own penalty box and giving it away cant blame the pitch they were basic mistakes that cost the game.....Ronnie O Sullivan would destroy me on a battered up table down the local club just as easily as he would batter me at the Crucible at the end of the day Premiership players " should " have the beating of third division players regardless.......but thats what we love about the Fa Cup.......Max im amazed your not going up the wall about Poyet leav

I cant see an old american outlaw being on the gear he would of just let his guns do the talking Top level sport is about winning not being honest with yourself,in my opinion somethings only cheating if your opponent isnt doing it.......at the end of the day everything in sport is performance enhanced as long as a game/race/fight starts fair the rest is down to whatever edge can be gained....look at a sport like motor racing they are starting the race with different speed cars how can that be fair ......to me the 100m sprint is pretty much as pure as sport can get so naturally any edge t

fair play to you , i hope all works out fine for you all , a few weekends a year i get the basha out a bit of kit take my rods & spend quality time on the coast ok not the same but cant beat a bit of freedom from the rat race Same here i kind of missed out on all the camping stuff that young boys do with their mates so im making up for it now .....probably get some odd looks a couple of burly cockneys pitching up in the mountains of Cyprus for a few months at a time but f**k it you only live once !

Exactly what i was thinking.

How well do you know Poyet as a person Max ?......dont get into making that mistake mate i thought for years our John Lyall was a cracking fella and a great manager, then one day i met him and realised he was just a great manager Its so easy to do this " sack the manager " thing ive been guilty of it myself before.......we had some dopes at West Brom yesterday calling for Allardyce,s head but the reality is we,re having a great season, apart from keep playing Nolan i dont have a problem with Allardyce he is true to himself and us as fans he doesnt pretend to have any affinity with us as we don

The Jamaican sprinters who tested positive had the same coach as Bolt,it would be naive to think he was the only clean athlete......personally i think out of that little group Bolt was seen as the poster boy and a worldwide name far too high profile to be caught " cheating "......the damage not just to athletics but to sport in general would of been catastrophic had Bolt tested positive similarly as it was back in the Carl Lewis days.......Lewis years later admitting to juicing as Bolt may well do in years to come. There used to be a company called Balco who were the main Lab that supplied

Which one !!....the day was full of disastrous incidents from the minute we set out......from people getting killed on the motorways,to 500 of our fans not being allowed in the ground due to being late,to starting fights with West Brom fans,to starting fights with each other.........to a football match where the players didnt turn up,a manager who brings off a forward and puts on a defender when his sides 3 nil down.....a useless c**t like Nolan whos like a 9 year old that gets the captaincy because his dads the manager.....a useless c**t like Downing who spends difficult games hiding like a m

Dedication, good genetics, talent all play an equal part in becoming a world class athlete.......all equal to who has the best chemist !.......Use your filbert why have Jamaicans recently taken over as the worlds top sprinters have they suddenly become genetically superior to everyone else ?.......Look how many of their sprinters have been caught in recent years,if im not wrong Bolt was the only one of their 4 x 100m team who hasnt been caught........todays type of stem cell enhancement can be so high tech that it will blend in completely with your own dna appearing as if it was there from birth

Man Sentenced For Calling Leroy (Who's Black) Black.
gnasher16 replied to neems's topic in General Talk
I cant honestly say as i disagree with too much you write on these topics Desertbred i think you stand up pretty well all things considered......i do think you tend to try to reverse things back on the Englishman in England from time to time which reeks to me of taking our nations kindness for weakness which i suppose isnt altogether unusual but nonetheless it does stick in the throat now and then..........whether its not the fashionable thing to say these days im not sure but i tend to nail my colours to the mast in that way i have absolutely no interest in Muslim culture so i cant really say -
Right ok gotcha ta chaps Just came back from a few days in the mountains and fancy myself as a bit of a Grizzly Adams so thought id see how folk who know what they are doing do it

Your not a million miles from me mate but must admit walking round fields with men with guns are situations i try to avoid these days .....a pal of mine has just bought a nice little drum in Cricketers Lane over by the golf club in Brentwood. Well chap I would be very grateful for anything you could do for me weather that's taking me out or putting a good word in I will have to owe you a drink for it though it's just so hard to meet good people around Essex what is it your into chap if your not keen on roaming around with a rifle. Nick. I just tag along for the countryside and clean
