They are cracking grips Tomo not like the shitty Argos things from years ago....grip is such a hard thing to train, beyond the old plate pinching exercises and things like them mad home made contraptions Bruce Lee came up with theres not an awful lot on the market.....i did manage to close a number 3 Captain of Crush a few years ago but like i say it can easily cause flexor injuries if you go too mad i stick around the number 2 - 2.5 most of the time......theres all manner of sets/reps you can do Ironmind publish a few different books worth flicking through for an idea.

Its one of the few industries that can still get away with being sexist ......Pure bodybuilding gyms, otherwise known as " Male Only " gyms are one of the few leisure facilities thats actually come down in price over the years......my gym has a non members fee of £4.50 per session......i used to train in a well known local gym called Len Sells in the 90,s and paid £5 per session then !!......a years membership used to cost upwards of £500.....today we do a Gold Membership thats £260 annually.....a 12 month membership for £30 at £3 per session......and Silver/Bronze memberships in between......

Try and get your poundage up on strict basic barbell curls........thats all a close grip palms facing chin is anyway

Grip training is one of the most physically demanding areas of strength training there is,theres no cheats to it !!.....The Captain of Crush grips are a good place to start....dont feel a fairy about starting on the easier ones if its something your not used to as you can easily injure yourself starting too high.....rope climbing of course is a good exercise......Ive had a lot of hand trouble over the years and have a fair bit of arthritis in them so ive been very lucky to retain the strength in them that i have. Stop saying you feel a c**t......any gym where folk take the piss out of any lev

It sounds like one of those Fitness First type gyms where they lay their towel out over a bench before laying on it Best of luck to you Walshie....good move

Tomo its not just about body strength a lot of the heavier guys just dont have the grip strength to hold their own weight its nothing to be ashamed of......im not as good on the wide grip these days but i,ll still do 2 minutes constant 1 handed with palm facing.......its a great arm wrestlers exercise as the constant brings the tendons in to play more so than muscular strength.....and of course grip strength helps
-
I know plenty of strong healthy lads who cant do a single pull up......with a close grip and palms facing in performed correctly its a basic bicep exercise that most people can do as the biceps is what is termed " a showy muscle " hence most trainers work them hard..............a wide grip with palms out is a back/lats exercise, not such a showy muscle hence you wouldnt believe how many trainers struggle with them ! Nothing wrong with old fashioned facilities......basic equipment will give the best gains when first starting out anyway.

These days you have little pretty boys walking into gyms with their uksca qualification thinking they are the bee,s knees throwing out all the long words and scientific data your willing to listen to........they,ve all spent the last year with their little ascc application pack under their arm on the road to glory of becoming............wait for it................a personal trainer !!!

When you play cards for money do you play to win or to have an entertaining game ?........Put your own money/arse on the line and see how much chance you give the other person If he breaks the rules then so be it,but he doesnt.....He threw and landed far more punches than Pacquiao did the other night theres nothing in the rules that say opponents cant fight the way he fights........ I find watching Mike Tyson 1 punch ko highlight reels followed by biting an opponent to get out of fighting him cowardly myself......Mayweathers pinpoint counter punching on the back foot i find technicall

Divide weight by height ( kg/mtrs).................then divide the answer by your height again........................the answer is your bmi.
-
Without wishing to sound rude Jetro your diet before must of been terrible !.....Any weight loss will require you to use up more calories than your taking in so the general basic figure being 500 - 1000 calories per week for a 1 - 2 pound loss.......you do the maths of the amount of calories you were theoretically taking in before. Well done though mate your living again now
-
I can understand that......the average fan wants to see excitement and when they cant see that they at least want to see a close competetive fight.......Mayweathers ring intelligence is so high i cant see him having many close exciting fights.......personally i enjoy watching him as i was the sort of careless brawler who took 3 punches to land 1 of my own so i appreciate his artistic skills perhaps more than most......but even so i still couldnt watch a Mayweather fight more than a few times it just becomes predictable...We,re a funny bunch in England though.....most nations admire sporting gr

Are you finding it's mainly gym folk that are eating there or is it the general public that's using the place ....... This has always been a strong sporting area Socks but the Olympics the other year just pushed the fitness industry on in leaps and bounds everywhere not just East London, but of course the fact it was held in East London meant those who get given good advice by bright intelligent people tended to do ok out of it ........the shop could survive on the gym/boxing boys alone as a lot of the boxers will order 6 weeks of food before a fight and have them delivered fresh etc.....
-
No its not my gaff its a stones throw from my gym and i have a couple of quid tied up in it thats all.

Well if you ever find yourself in Kings Gym in Kingsland Rd most of their diet sheets will be pointing you to the Gyms Kitchen menus anyway

Mutant mass gainer,,,lol,,,what a fecking name,,,,gnash can you remember when cnp products first started ,,,they had names like that,,,Kerry Kay's first partner came up with them weird names,,,Paul borroson,,,somthing like that,,,mad scientist he was I remember when " Core Strength Supplements " closed down and had 4 different names in a month !!......same ingredients in everything the supplement market has been as abused as it can possibly be.......real food is coming back with a vengeance Lurcherman i dont know what area you are in but hopefully these sort of establishments will b

No you think its working................its a supplement, its supposed to " supplement " food not replace it.......or do you believe powder is more beneficial than food ?
-
Do yourself a favour and get off that shit and do something we used to do back in the old days............eat more food
