They are football people mate....and im not......so in terms of passion for the club and the direction it takes they are ideal.....theres another 14/15 of me we make no real difference to anything truth be told but there has to be people like us at every club at every level unless your Man City or Chelsea. Whereas the previous chap although brilliant within his own field was trying to live out his own little dream but football isnt Hollywood.....its not even The Only Way is Essex He,s now doing the same with another local club you,ll be familiar with Wilf.

Good post that.....one of the major attractions to any potential investor of a football club is the property itself depending on the location of course....the relationship between club and local community is vital,then if the club can pull in the local council they are laughing you need to get everyone pulling in the same direction towards a club that local folk feel is " their own ".........the distance being created between pro clubs and fans is an open goal for non league clubs to exploit...and its worth its weight in gold in my opinion.

Its never a good sign when 2 out of the 3 people who talked you into something then proceed to throw the towel in and f**k off to other clubs ? Im barely dipping my toes in the water but its a business like no other your not really expecting to make money its almost like donating to a good cause,we used to sponsor a kids team back years ago,for the price of a kit we got our company name on the front of their shirts but they started wanting foreign tours and end of season trophies when they hadnt won f**k all ? Im not comparing them as clubs im saying redeveloping a ground within the heart of the community and maintaining history,traditions,respecting the wishes of fans,while still having a modern feel is the way to go.....we could of redeveloped our East Stand in exactly the same way we did with our West Stand at Upton Park and all the boxes would of been ticked................but then maybe we wouldnt have attracted Sebastian Haller,Albian Ajeti and all the other footballing stars from across the globe

But is putting a lick of paint on your walls " doing something modern " ?....where did this " brand/next level/modern " talk in football even come from anyway......yes ok if shiny architecture and airport like concourses with plush tiled bogs are the in thing then crack on but that doesnt need to change the entire football club and community.....look at clubs like Liverpool or Rangers as examples that had the best of both and got it just about right.

If it was my club id want them to redevelop the old ground not move to a new one.....exactly the same as i wanted with West Ham. However thats Ac Milan....there isnt a higher level of football to use as a carrot to dangle in front of their fans......the carrot we had dangled in front of us was football being taken " to the next level "

You would be surprised the money knocking around at that level....i know for a fact a couple of clubs in the Nationwide South have 30 - 40k per week wage budgets....there are non league players in that league on 3 and 4k p/week.....a lot of ex pros and pros about to retire are dropping down to those leagues at the end of their career,players who maybe dont want to do their coaching badges and still love the game and think they have something to offer....plus you also have clubs with their own academies nicking kids who have been turned down by pro club academies......and of course bigger crowd

Im not so sure about that at the relegation end of the table i think we still see a lot of the Mourinho type nick a goal and then park the bus...yes the top clubs are not happy with a 1 nil you only have to look at the goals for columns compared to other years.....but i still think it can almost be unfair to watch a team get totally outplayed but park the bus and hoof it to a draw sometimes.....i once said to a mate that to stop that i think there should be a rule that a team must have 3 players in front of the ball at all times or a free kick should be awarded......................yeah he sai

I love them old school Fords my first car was a brown 3 litre Capri ? ....still remember the way the back would slide out in the wet....had a 2.0s....a 2.8i later on. Why dont you just admit it Wilf you are a glory hunter ?..........no that wouldnt sit well with me.....look i say again...i liked my football club,i liked who we was and what we represented....i wasnt asking for anything we didnt already have and the reason for that is i have seen clubs change over the years ( your Chelseas and Citys ) and i genuinely dont understand how fans can take any pride from those clubs or those communities whatsoever......im a local lad Wilf i want to do well for the area and the club badge not for a bank balance or to say " we,re now a big club "....f**k all that.

I honestly think non league football is on the up and up....the quality of the pitches,facilities and talent on the pitch i dont think has been this good certainly in my time ...i watch football as low down as the 6th and 7th tiers of the football league system and no longer do you get the drunken fat bloke trying to wade through mud up and down the wing we moan about how the game has gone at the top level but this is the knock on effect of that.

Smoking kills far more people than alcohol i think the figure worldwide is something like 4 times as many........they say substances are responsible for 1 in 5 deaths globally but a lot of nations only use alcohol with a meal Italians for example view drunkeness as uncouth and bad mannered and use it in the right way. Pre - formed bodies almost seems like cheating to me....either do it all or not at all would be my outlook.....besides which being creative seems half the talent of it....just wrapping a fur around a model dont seem right to me somehow........theres certainly a lot to it and i,ll probably nause it right up when the time comes,but its an itch id like to scratch at some point.
