  5. An old farmer friend had Polish POW's working the land wartime and they loved to eat fox!!! Some f****n iraqi kurd temp worker at our place on ce told me he used to trap foxes in his yard for the table. "Very nice meat", that's what the horrible c**t used to say. Whereas a good friend of mine said he once tried fox and it was discusting, and he threw it to his ferrets and even they would'nt eat it
  6. Atb mate, I am new to it too. Best of luck to you in the future. Cheers
  7. Glad to hear it; its just a shame its left to prisoners to serve justice because in our country punishments don't fit the crime. I'll raise a glass in this chaps name later

    Joke

Just three pounds buys food and bottled water for a family of 8 in Haiti. But on a serious note, Tesco are doing 4 cans of Stella for £2.99
  9. I make bitter and cider, paid £20 for kegs (each), £20 for fermentation barrel only need one as make bitter whilst drinking the cider and vice versa, then just buy the 40 pint cider or bitter kit £10 each. So was £60 to start but well worth it as is only £10 per 40 pints thereafter, of which I am enjoying a couple as i write. Cheers
  10. BSA Meteor, with open sights
  11. If the gun is a higher bore, then the inside of the barrel is narrower, so the cartridge it fires is smaller. Hence an 8 bore is a monstrosity of a gun, whereas a 28 bore is very small. 12 is by far the most common, but 20 bore is common also. I have heard of folk using 28s for game but don't know anyone myself who has one, nor have I ever had a 28 so could'nt speak of what they're like practically. Also there is the .410 which is tiny, ok for ratting and rabbiting, but not a serious game gun (I'm assuming you're interested mostly in game shooting as you posted in driven and walked up). Person
  12. Not sure what you mean exactly, if you mean what are those terms a measure of, or do you mean the practical differences? Cheers
  13. Heard many a gundog man say that woodcock leave very little if any scent. Cheers
  14. Personally hang them about 5 days; hope you enjoyed the beating and many more hereafter. Cheers
