    Got dropped off with the 2 terriers at the keepers house about 9.30, quick bacon sandwich and coffee then headed for the first sett. Collared both up and checked the batteries before slipping the dog in a fresh 1 holer, after about 5 minutes we got a mark at 0.9 so I set about with the spade and after a bit dirt lifting I broke through to a nice dog fox bottled up . The keeper dispatched number 1 pheasant killer with the .410. So a quick check over of the dog whilst the old man did the back filling and headed to spot number 2, a nice size bankside with a good bit cover. Tethered the 2 ter

    bet that fooking hurt mate, don't think they like taking prisoners bear . I got done in the face the other year by a Goshawk I was flying the other year! must say it came a bit close to my eye but I just about lived to fly another day . that Redtail in vid looked a bit sick after the Pere drilled through it, they cut it after but it looked like it was on the way down.... Nasty injury that mate, it didn't really hurt that much till I took my cap off and realised it had drew blood but I certainly felt the whack I told him if we are flying it at work I wanted a realtree hard hat

    Just use 2 core 240v cable mate, it won't burn out then

    Car spotlight, 12v cable, small bit of wire from bulb to switch, makeshift handle, on/off switch and a motorbike battery is all you need Little bit of wire from the halogen bulb to 1 side of the switch, then big wire from bottom of switch to battery. Other wire core going direct to the back of the lamp to make the current. Attach handle to spotlight and link to battery Switch it on and away you go I remember making them over 15 years ago now, god I feel old

    Sorry Rob, just read the thread again and can't say I've noticed a difference between the deerhound crosses and the other crosses. I think the back nails wear down quicker with it being the back legs being used to power the dog on same as my greyhounds
