  1. See if you can get some pic's off him, is it a male or female and whats its hunting weight?
  2. I've never seen a redtail hunt, I'd like to, I'm told pretty aggressive. It must be a good buzz knowing it could rip your face off any second Do you fly one, I wouldn't mind seeing some action shots.
  3. Cheers mate, he gets about a tennis ball size lump of meat and the same in veg mainly carrot and apple, and a piece of breast of lamb, once a week.
  4. Basically its raw meat, veg and bones. Have a look on this site http://www.ukbarfclub.co.uk/
  5. Here's a couple of pic's of my Patt pup, he'll be 7 months at the end of July, I been feeding him on the barf diet for a couple of months, I definately think there an improvement in his condition. We've tried the barf diet on our GSP but she gets the sh*ts alot, whereas it seem to suit the patt alot better. Looking forward to the short days and dark nights.
  6. Try here http://www.thewelshhawkingclub.com/ one of the best clubs in the UK.
  7. No, I'd say it was the time you have to dedicate to the sport and the quarry you want to catch and the hunting land you have available.
  8. I couldn't say if the harris hawk is easiest to train, it's the bird that is this recommended as your first. I chose a male harris because of quarry I wanted to hunt, it strong enough to take rabbits and the agility to take some birds. At the moment its the only bird I want to fly.
  9. A Staffordshire Bull Terrier, A midnight blue, Mk3 Cortina L Decor, twin electric aerials.
  10. Hi Mate Sorry to be boring, it's another male Harris Hawk, he's taken mainly rabbits and the odd small bird. I've never had a bad days hawking with him.

    There you go......billybob.
  12. Sounds like a grass seed gone in, it's the right time of year for it, be careful as they keep going further, safest bet is to get a vet to take a look.
  13. I've had a couple of pairs, they're not a bad light boot, soft like a trainer. The leather needs looking after, water and disinfectant seems to rot them, I found they always crack across that crease between the toes and the laces.
  14. Nice one mate, is that my name I see on the big one.
  15. While I was travelling for the couple of days they got that Butchers Tripe, they ate it I don't think they were keen on it and they're shite was a weird colour. Now we're at our destination I've found a place I can get fresh minced tripe they're loving it ( no farts either).
  16. Stop playing with your rod, go and sort your bird out.
  17. Not yet, now where did I put your number.

    time

During the hunting season (sept-march) I'll normally spend 1 1/2 hours flying plus 1/2 hour cleaning and feeding on most days. During the moult only probably 20 minutes a day. You'll need an avairy 3m x 3m with a weighing room attached. He's a pic of my set up.
  19. I fed my old staff tripe from 8 weeks, he was well fit on it, it's probably got to much protein in though.
  20. I normally feed my dog on a raw meat diet, but I'm away for a few days with no access to a fridge so I'm gonna have to feed them tinned meat, which one has less crap in it? Cheers.
  21. You should pick up your dogs food after 15 mins, she'll soon learn to eat quick.
