thats a good setup you got there mate, ive had to stick with my hutches unfortunatly because my grampa wont let me build a ferret court in the garden. But ive been aloud to build a kennel, better than nothing i suppose.
I had a pat x russel a few months back cracking bush dog, also went to ground. Only problem i had her when she was about 4-5 months old and had been negleted by her last owner and she definatly had a mind of her own and would not come back to you whilst being let of the lead.
I know have a 9 week old beddy x whippet and hes coming on great.
I tried using a silent whistle with my patterdale cross, didnt seem to work as well as a normal whistle.
Perhaps different breeds respond to different types of calls or respond to a call that thier used to.
Give it a go see how you get on its worth a try, you'll never know if you dont
thanks mate ill give it a go
i aint really done a lot of lamping with the dogs as im fairly new to hunting with dogs. ive done a lot lamping with the guns and its quite productive. and you can approach them fairly close to run a dog too.

Hey guys thought id keep all posted on my whippet x beddy pup. Ive named him TAZ and hes settled down within the fist week of bringing him home. hes now turned 8 weeks old and hes 9 inches tall to the shoulder.
Ive been playing with him over the last few days with teddys and tennis balls, he has started to chase and retrieve a tennis ball to hand, and shakes the life out of his teddy.
Ill get some photos up soon.
happy hunting
