By 'not looking so good' i ment that they've lost lost alot of weight, but i think you've hit the nail on the head by what you have said. They are kenneled outside and they are being worked less, but their out every morning and night to have a run over the dunes and the beach to try and keep them fit. I just put up this thread as this is my first summer with them really because last year they were only pups, and was just concerned about them losing their appitite. Thanks very much for the advice you put my mind to rest , always better to ask if your unsure i suppose. P.S any advic

Hey guys before the warm weather both my dogs ate well, they were both in fine condition and health. But since the hot weather they've gone right off their food and arnt looking so good. They've been wormed and are wormed regulary. Ive tried changing the food and tried feeding at different times of the day, as ive always fed my dogs at night before i go to bed. Never had this problem before, is there anyone who is having the same problem? What can i do to stimulate appitite? Any advice would be greatfull THANKS RS

I know you shoulded run a dog if the ground is too hard or wet, but if that was the case ill never be able to run my dogs as the ground is never perfect round where i live.

There are loads of sand dunes where i live and they are crawling with bunnies, me and a few of the boys hunt them all the time, challeging ground for the dogs thou.

hey guys, went out to let the dogs out of the runs on friday morning when i noticed that my bitch had her leg up. When straight down the vets with her because she was in a lot of pain with it. The vet said that it was just an infection in the toe and that a pain killer and a course of anti-biotics should put her on the mend. But when i checked on her this morning the toe seems to be worse, the nail has lost its pinkness at the base of the nail and theres a little puss coming from the base of the nail too. Im getting a bit worried and gona take her back to the vets in the morning as i think the

That dog looks the same as my fell bitch pup i bought last week. From gould and middleton lines, she only 14 weeks old and already giving the bullx's a hard time, lol.

Thanks for the help guys, I was only asking because i was looking for a terrier pup last week and a couple i went to see had really short stumpy tails, and others litters was longer tails. Ive now bought a fell terrier pup from gould and middleton lines with a tail that gives a good handful and looks in proportion to her body. Ill get some pics up soon when i can get her to keep still..

Just wondered how long the tail on a terrier most people prefered and why? Ive heard that the tail must be as long as the pam of your hand in order to grip the terrier by the tail. IS this true?

Sorry to here about your dog mate. One of mine tore his leg in october i took it to the vets straight away, they butchered him, the wound got infected because they tried to staple it. I then had to take him back a few weeks later to remove the staples and have stiches instead, he's now got a nasty scar and left my wallet alot lighter. I think some vets are out to rob you. His leg should have been stiched straight away, would have saved money and the healing time.

Im not overly keen on salukis crosses their a beatifull dog and i admit their stamina is outstanding, but the few i have been out with just ignore you when you call them and just wont listen whilst off the lead. Not saying their all like that just the ones ive seen, suppose its all down to training though.
