I was just a bit worried because my jill was heavily in season, usually she in season mid april and ive never had any problems with mating any of my ferrets. But i supose with the weather being like it has been over the last couple of weeks im not suprised their hormones are out.

thanks mate, its hard to get into something when you aint really got people to go with to show you, or to advice you on things. At the moment im learning from my own experience. but the guys on here have been great. how old will he be before he will be able to catch a rabbit, ive been told that id be wasting my time even showing him a rabbit untill hes about 7-8 months old. cheers

he started to have a go at the jill at last... hes out of last seasons stock, real small for a hob. my last hob was a monster.

it wasnt by choice i had him. my terrier died, and my grampa bought it for me as a suprise as the guy he bought it off said it would be a cracking worker. thats a cracking dog mate, im hoping my girlfriend will get sum pics of my pup on here soon. im not to clever with technology.

ive just turned 20, ive owned a terrier but i didnt realy work her and she was kept indoors. Ive kept ferrets and worked them for about 4 years now but want a dog for lamping and ferreting. It has to be kept outdoors as im still living with my grampa, and a lurcher would be to big to be kept in the house with him while im in work. Ive just ordered a wooden 6x4 shed and im going to make make a run of it. only want whats best for the dog ive found the site realy usefull as there arnt many people in my area who i can ask. thanks

just bought a whippet x bedlington. just woundering how tall i can expect him to be, and if this type of cross would be any good for lamping. he is 7 weeks old at the moment and his legs are looking fat and strong.

I want to build a kennel in the garden but dont know how to go about it. how big has the run got to be? what sort of housing? what materials? any advice would be great. thanks...

I think my polecat hob has lost interest in spreading his seeds guys. put my jill that is heavly in season in with him today and he hasnt even sniffed her. had no problems with him last season.

went down there with the lamp plenty of rabbits down there but is it to close to the public? what playing fields dop you mean, western avenue? yeh mate western avenue, by the youth centre. quite a few down there. ive been told theres 1 or 2 hares around there to mate...

hi rabbitslayer// i live in the neath area,but if you are looking for a day out just go over by the jersey marine ford plant the dunes opposite are holding quite a lot of rabbits ,you will need a marking dog though because of the amount of buries there,we normally come away with half a dozen bunnies, :good luck thanks mate, ive seen a few along fabian way but havent realy had chance to go and look. Do you go out regular?

went out this evening trying my patterdale x on rats at a old cafe. i let her of the lead, she nosed around a bit then went into a thick bramble bush out of sight. there was a lot of barking and yelping, i waited for 15 or so minutes. when my dog eventually came out she was covered in blood, with cuts on her face and neck. crawled in through the thorns to find a small young fox dead. i thought terriers were ment to bolt foxes not kill them, so why didnt the fox run?

I went out and found an old cafe down on an industry park near where i live, i had more than i bargined for. my terrier went into some brambles out of sight, heared lots of barking and yelping, after 15 or so minutes my dog came out covered in blood. her face was cut along with her neck. I crawled into the the thorns to find a small fox dead, probably a young one. will she still hunt rats now that shes gone for fox??

whippet x bull. we have two here and very happy with them. good little rabbit dogs and a nice size at 21 inches.they are only 9 months in the pics and have shaped up nicely now at 16 months and a season behind them. they are little pocket rockets and have plenty of wind. its the first time ive had this cross and only got them as a starter for my young lad but i am very suprised at how they have turned out nice dogs mate, i like the look on em. What kind of ground will you be running your dog on? Will it be mainly heather or mainly arable or grass - if grass - short pasture

what would be the best bait to tempt a rat into a live rat trap? any help would be great

does anyone know if the air arms s200 can be tuned up to fac, and how it can be done plz. something like 16flb would be ideal.
