  1. Out of likes mate, a f***ing sex swing what’s a matter with people lol
  2. Level Crossing Manager Monday-Friday no weekends no on call get your own 4x4 vehicle and just call into your manager once a week to give him a shit load of bad news, I done it for 7 years all across East Anglia I had 120 crossings to look after.
  3. You been round IWWs gaff
  4. I’ve said it before mate your just in the wrong job on the railway, the amount of people that leave and regret it and want to come back was unreal, mainly the ones who had never experienced working outside the railway they soon get a reality check and do anything to get back, good luck anyway your still reasonably young so it might work out for you.
  5. I must admit I used to chase the pound note on the railway but it did pay well, but it also enabled me to retire at 60 If I had to do it all again I’d probably train to be a self employed Master chimney sweep I’m surprised at the demand for it in this day and age in the area I live, but what ever you decide you will do well mate your a knowledgeable grafter I sometimes look at your work and Stavs and think I wished they lived around here lol, if you and Stav started a business together you would be unstoppable.
  6. Shop about mate I got 9kg bags from Tesco they were reduced from a tenner down to £4.50 I cleaned up, they are not often on sale though, this time a year they might get them in again.
  7. Same here really I would say it’s more suited for shows and competitions, those weekender smoke shows that seem to pop up in the summer I went to one a couple of year back and it’s taken very seriously, I’d go for something a lot smaller if going back to wood or charcoal.
  8. Yeh it is, at the time me and my boy was having a bit of a willy waggling contest my ones bigger than yours sort of thing and he bought this and blew me out of the water but has now realised that biggest isn’t always best its what you do with it lol because it’s so big it takes a while to bring up to temperature but once there it’s pretty good to be honest the fire box on the side is bigger than some bbqs I’ve seen.
  9. No I just used the railways to get about, being a retired railwayman I always make an effort to travel on the country I’m in railways and I always go cheap class to get the full experience much to my wife’s disgust lol.
  10. I reckon my son would be up for selling this the spec on it is unreal reverse baffles chimney able to go on either side and the steel is very thick bespoke made by a company in Yorkshire Meat City Smokers I think they were called weighs a bloody ton, I just helped him move to Herefordshire and it was emotional getting it on the lorry lol.
  11. I didn’t hang about in Colombo but spent time in Kandy and Negombo mainly but yeh there are a few characters to watch out for but I’ve always got my radar on when I’m out and about lol.
  12. I didnt get to Yala there is so much to do out there she will have a great time, if she gets on a train out there tell her not to stand near the doors they don’t close them lol I had a ride of terror going over a rickety bridge with about a 200 foot drop. I need to visit again really as a couple of weeks wasn’t enough in the south there’s Whale watching which is close to the stilt fisherman in Galle.
  13. If you do get one shop around for your pellets the price differences are big pit boss and treager will probably be your most expensive I bought a job lot out of tescos that were on offer hardly any difference to be fair.
  14. As you hand your passport over in Colombo Sri Lanka there is a massive sign in English that says drug smugglers will be sentenced to death, it amazes me that these idiots even contemplate this sort of stuff in these countries.
  15. Get you lol nice bit of kit
  16. Yeh it’s the same sort of thing if I remember when Kanny bought his it was a similar size to that but a pit boss, all it is is an electric auger feeding flavoured pellets into a hot element that’s is thermostat controlled, reasonable price £500.
  17. Gotta admit all the Mexicans I’ve met are a bit unhinged but a good laugh three times I’ve been Mexico and much preferred the pacific side, if you ever want to go tuna fishing in Puerto Vallarta go to the port and ask for Captain Rick lol tattoos all over his head and mad lol great character everyone knows him he doesn’t return until he catches I felt like I’d been kidnapped 14 hours I was on his boat.
  18. @mC HULL here’s a pic of mine.
  19. Basically its not like the traditional bbq where you stand there cooking and turning the food ect its put food in set on control panel close lid drink beer open lid eat lol but its a good thing to have they cook food really well especially the slow cooks.
  20. I haven’t got a traeger but if you look at the first page of this thread I have put up a video of a Pit Boss which is the same principle I believe Kanny has one as well, bear in mind though it’s a smoker and not a BBQ even though you can BBQ on it in my opinion it’s not the same as charcoal BBQs it really comes into its own as a smoker first BBQ second.
  21. Nice one Arry, pass on all your knowledge and skills to him he’s a lucky lad.
  22. Did you get that .17 HMR ?
  23. It’s funny how they classify a woman at the ages of about ten or twelve to get married to old men in Afghan but when it comes to this documentary it’s a child utter bullshit. My son served with 22 in Kabul for a 7 month stint it wasn’t pretty f**k em it’s war.
  24. Rest in Peace Phil totally unexpected, as said he only posted the other day, all his posts and pictures were absolute quality it was like reading a passage from a book sometimes when reading them, a man who was well respected in the field sports world.
  25. It’s not music but it is in a way lol…
