    Keep an eye out for a Sako, you may have to add a little more to the budget but probably the best rimfire made. Martin sako finfire good stuff.

    they will try and put an exclusion zone around the site on our shoot it was 500mtrs and that was for shotguns when we asked about it they said it was to protect the workforce when biulding the masts also they may want you to keep you distance when there is ice about danger from falling ice off the blades and when you see the size of the blades you understand why.the disturbance when they where biulding pushed the game down off the hill but now after 4 years it doesn't seam to bother the wldlife mind you that just as it looks to me its not based on any science.If you pay for your stalking you

    if you'r worried about training a spanial then don't get a pointer get a lab or mebe a chessiepac bay retriever( can,t spell it) but they are very hardy and fantastic swimmers and large enough to retrieve any goose .they look like a very big lab with tight curly coat .bred in canada . Sorry Hily Chesapeake Bay Retrievers look nothing like a lab , some are not that big, our bitch is compact with curly coat and our dog is slightly taller with a wavy coat, They are an american breed and not for the novice to train only seen one at work and he was a big animal but i stand corrected

    Go to welden gun room or your local fishing/gun shop they have adds for shoots in norhumberland take phone No's and ring them offer to beat now is a good time as the partrige season is coming up and the keepers want as many beaters as they can get if you can beat weekdays you have a real good chance of some beating. alb

    She's only 14 wks shes very good at biteing the heads of my flowers in the garden she sits for her food goes into the kennel when told and is starting to calm down on the lead no seriouse training untill approx 9 months old.

    up to the shoot on sat took poults to wood sorted water,feed fence etc. so had time to hunt the dogs HOT DAY so hunted spanials in a boggy area of the shoot (some of the lads of here have shot their and will know it holds plenty of bunnys )so because it's wet this helped to keep the dogs cool. Only out for 11/2 hours had some good shooting and some testing retrieves as the area is criss crossed with streams a couple of the rabbits when shot tumbled into the the stream and the dogs had to get into the water to find them. anyway we shot 16 bunnys and all where wasted as they where fly blown by

    bang on mate we had the same prob about 5 years ago till we put some up!! best way with the cds hanging mate but move them around the pen once a week or witever cos they end up getting to used tae them and will start takin yer poults agen , theres the obvious ways to Well we managed 5 decent pages on buzzards, then a newbe comes along with the above... maybe a newbie to this site alimac but no new to shooting and keepering, been shooting for about 14 years , doing the dogs for about 5 years and a done keepering for 2 and a half years , this site is for discus

    I use jungle formuler sprayed onto hands and the rubbed into face neck and arms and when the little sods are biteing hard i use some stuff i think i got from army surplus it u.s.a. issue in a little green tube what do you use and are their any home made remedies

    make sure you'v got some jungle formuler or a good insect repelant for this time of year
