Just had the dinner, and on the menu was ....KID GOAT....well back leg anyway. It was absolutely delicious.I was presented with a plate of spuds and peas with this great bleeding leg hanging over both sides of the plate.I have to say it was spot on.If the wife reads this Im never going to hear the end of it,lol. The meat was as tender and somehow sweet to the taste.I have to say if you never tried this then have a lash guys and gals.Heres a photo of the size of animal I processed a few weeks ago.It was in the freezer fr at least a month.Im geting the urge to go again and fill the chiller. n

  6. my 1st x started coming good at the end of the season,I was a bit pissedI had to stop as he could have done with a bit more experience.Hes just 16 months now so next season he'll be ready for a full season. He picked a pigeon in flight,a seagull by stealth and 2 longears.Heres a pic after a very long run . . hes taken a few rabbits lately too.Im looking forward to next year, hoping he makes the grade.
  7. Why not get a double set of coach/bus seats and bolt them into the floor, then when you want to remove them just take em out.Welding is a bit severe.I have a triple set in the transit.
  8. A nice racy kelpie,a malanoi and a pit bitch from the shadow line.
  9. when the dog has had a good season and has pleased you in its efforts its good to spoil them too and bond that bit more with them.Treat them like pets for the summer, they'll be workers again for the winter and will do anything you request.Well thats what I find anyway.
  10. brilliant video, there seems to be no shortage of game in that part of the world.Must book my vacation for next year
  11. well the way I look at it,once the hunting seasons over the dogs are on long term vacation.I bring some of the more sociable ones to the beach,I do a bit of shooting in the hills for rabbits where winter hunting is not possible due to rock and shale. The kelpie comes along as my retriever, then theres the forestry walks, the hill walking and general exploration of new ground for next season.I hunt the feral goat where the kelpie assists in finding any that need finding. The more unsociable are walked in the forestry under strict supervision,I just keep em reasonably fit,but proper hunting is off t

  16. Twas my anniversary yesterday,23 years married,30 years together. If she wasnt cool about dogs, dead animals and dodgy geezers calling to the door shed have been gone years ago. Our whole life has been about working dogs,be it lurchers, terriers bulls and the ferrets.Langer loads of dead goats, deer and rabbits hanging from every available gap, nail and free space in the garden. She threathened to leave me at the start of our marriage if I got any more dogs.....so I got 4 more and....oh well shes still here so I reckon were stuck with each other. When things were bad money wise she did without so I

My current bull terrier is exactly the same,I was asked to put him to sleep but I thought hed make a great family dog,I just didnt think it would be with MY family well hes here to stay now, lol.
