    noooooooooooooooooooooo!not for ferreting,they are a bit over the top for ferreting an yes I did have one (2 actually)and they are scud missiles on legs.Too intense for rabbiting with ferrets in my opinion.Go for a whippet/collie greyhound or a bedi/g.hound or bedi whippet or a lurcher to lurcher with a dash of bull if you really keen on it but dont go the bull/hound route,it will all end in tears.I await the onslaught

    have to say the show was a great sucess,met many a good friend there and stayed with a hell of a decent skin.The dogs were top class and the salukis were very plentifull.Im looking forward to next year.Its one of the only shows I look forward to now

    He's nice................but not THAT nice.. lol He is a beauty Matty,Im thinking all you girls out there that want to pamper my puppy,we might come to some agreement Stoaty,the dogs I viewed were all big straight backed animals,I wouldnt entertain the slanted type.

    Scothunter now where did you hear that little jem Isnt it furkin terrible you cant be left alone in yer own home.Twice this evening I had to go out to see why the dogs were barking,the neighbour was hanging out washing and singing,and there was a loud bang from out on the main road.Every little strange noise rings alarm bells,bloody stupid when you think about it.

    I was keen on a black dog from the same lines but different breeder,I was to meet him on thursday night to seal the deal and during the day he wwent for a walk with him in the local forestry,well 4 foreign nationals appeared from behind bushes,all were drinking and the 5 month old pup stood between the 4 and the owner and went ballistic.The 4 fecked off double quick and the breeder rang me to say he decided to keep the pup after seeing that,he did put me onto this pup I bought and reckons theres better lines than his dogs.Hopefully I'll get a good protection dog in time.Matty,yeah I did,lol.I

    heres Nikko,12 weeks old from dutch/czech bloodlines.I bought him yesterday.I saw his sire in action the night before working the sleeve,I didnt see the dam but saw writeups on her in competition.The breeder is keeping his brother and a club member is taking the other brother in the litter.Hes a fine steady animal and nothing phases him.I never had a german shepherd before so its all new territory for me but im looking forward to it.Theres a money back guarantee if the dog doesnt protect the house once I follow the directions of the breeder.The only down side is he pisses at the drop of a hat

    smart water?no idea what it is goldfinch.Brookie I know,its sickening to think that at any time they might be back.I was informed that they came to Cork from another county,they drop in and out regularly.I could start writing I'll do this and that but if its the crowd im told it is,then I might only do it once.I have to get a few lengths of angle iron in the next few days and get it up on the capping as soon as I can.

    All I can do is be vigilant,take extra steps to try and make it as hard as possible for them.I also have a family and need to do stuff with them.Ive locks and a good bullterrier,if they do come back and im there then I'll do my best to make their visit wholley unpleasant,the angle iron and spikes are going ahead and I'll see what else appeals to me.I am a bit jittery still and keep going over different angles and try to make it hard for them.Cctv is not an option for the moment as finances dont allow it,unemployed for a few months now.

    Thanks everyone for the ideas and help.I cant use the alarm mines as im in the middle of a terrace of houses,next door are a sound couple with a new baby,so a bloody explosion in the night would not be appreciated.I called to all the neighbours on the road behind me as well and everyone is watching out.The scum that were trying it on were caught by three neighbours but they didnt give a shit,Brazen as hell.I warned the family not to approach them but I know for a fact the 2 sons will run straight in,they dont tolerate any of that kind of shite and will use whatevers at hand.I am in the proces

    I dont think that would go down well with the neighbours,and their a sound bunch on all sides of me,when i had pits they never questioned me one bit,I draged in full calves and goats and hung them up for all to see,never a word spoken.Im very lucky to have such good neighbours,I couldnt jeopardise that so mini explosions are definitely out,lol.Im in a very built up area so I must take into consideration those around me.I think they will maybe try again but this time after dark,since early evening didnt work.The thing they dont know is the bull terrier will go all out in the dark.He is a formi

    The bit that pisses me off is I thought I was dead safe,in the middle of a terrace and all exits and entry points locked and secure with metal gates.Its cost me a feckin fortune on locks over the years and still these b*****ds managed to get into my property.I am sickened more about that than anything else.

    Took the big dogs out for a stretch today and while away the rest of the dogs in the kennels went ape shite,the eldest son went out to shut them up and there were two pikeys up on the back garden wall just about to jump in.The lad left a roar and the two leged it,the bit im gobsmacked about is two fold,1 I never walk the dogs on the road in the area so how they found me I dont know,probably loose lips.The 2cd thing is I live in a middle of a row of houses and the only access to where they were is along the back garden walls of the other houses,this was at 6 0 clock in the evening.I got home an
