  11. i used these for manys the years, filled them with straw never had a bother with condensation.I had a few slits cut in the floor just in case but in the winter I used to check the dogs and they were very warm in them.Built block kennels now but couldnt knock these.I used to cut a barrell in half slide one piece over the other and cut a circle through both pieces,20 minutes job done, screw into the end to stop the top from swivelling closed,
  12. Sounds like one of those dogs that only comes along once in a lifetime. Did she produce anything as good as herself? unfortunately an opportunity wasted in time,i never bred her to any other bull type dog.we had 3 litters from her all to the same terrier. If I had sense and the hindsight to realise we could have created a few decent bull terriers from her I should have gone down that road, all that mattered at the time was digging dogs. A real shame that sounds like she could of been useful in improving the EBT, sounds a real handy bitch. I assume the pups off the terrier mating were pretty sp

  17. could it be that your dogs never really wanted it? Staying 6ft behind for the whole of the run would of got me thinking.I bet someone will correct you and say buck not stag so thought I'd get there first lol. just re read this, I'm in no way saying your dogs are shite by the way. But sometimes dogs don't feel it. Or if they've never seen them before could also be the answer no believe me they wanted it,im not accustomed to the dogs running deer on a regular basis, but they have run em and they have shown how capable they can be given the opportunity, this time they just couldnt get up to em

  19. BGD she was quiet the opposite, really laid back and placid, but show her a hole in the ground and fuk me she turned psychotic, very intense where her work was concerned, she became a firm favourite of my family when we had her, slept in front of the fire and was agreat pet too,but believe me we did give her a lot of work and she never flinched, always up for a bit of sport in the country
  20. I have to admit to something here now..............i was out last Friday week at 8.a.m,walking the 1st field,we were looking for a bit of banging about in the cover, half way across the field 2 fallow stags of a very decent size broke from cover and took off straight up the field,3 dogs loose,a d/h 1st cross greyhound and 2 saluki/greyhounds 1st x.the stags had a 150 yard start but the field was 3 acres long, now I was thinking this is going to be interesting,my heart was in my mouth, the ground was very soft but the grass was short so I watched. The 3 dogs pulled into the stags with 6 ft behind,a
  21. heres a bitch we worked and bred from, she was half english bull, and the 2 reasons we bred from her was she worked ,and worked hard and she was ONLY half english bull. She had pit and staff in her also which gave her the essential ingridient to make her what she was.I tried 6 other E/B's over a long period of time after her demise to see if I could get another close to her drive and determination,ALL of them were utter curs.I did ask about for a time to see if there were any slinking about in the background but never found any worthy of feeding.I wouldnt even contemplate using one these days, eve
