    I had to spend a month in Cairo once,didn’t enjoy it at all,but for you personally good sir hankering for a male only getaway that dog market seems a good bet.

    You should have gone to Pakistan on your vacation then fun and sun (but left your good lady at home). the odd thing is they are letting the dogs bit them rabies is very common in Egypt.

    I remember reading a book as a kid by a guy called Trevor Housby?He mentioned Mevagissey and took some big tuna there in the 50’s and 60’s? I bought my mackerel,were the tuna bait-balling them?

    The last time I was there I found the old store that used to be Mr Sharma's Hashish Centre on freak street it sells household items nowadays,I wonder what the old hippies would have made of the change.

    Out on a boat in the med once and tuna on the surface all around us “Holy shit,I am going to get one tomorrow” I bought trolling lures and tried dead baiting with fresh mackerel for the next few days,saw tuna all of the time but no interest whatsoever,it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.

    Night time,in a store car park,two lads asked him for money,he said no so they punched him a couple of times and ran off,probably happens a thousand times a day across the states so not really serious,but the availability and numbers of guns up the ante,I always remember the two Brit kids who wandered into the wrong area while on holiday and met a young 16 year old mugger armed with a pistol.

    When you visit a store with multiple ammo aisles,and people are bulk buying with a shopping cart you know it’s time to get outta dodge. My son had a mugging attempt a few months back,luckily the two blokes weren’t armed,but my son said “I am getting a pistol” I found myself saying “I would rather you didn’t”.

    I will try and find the review when I have time,I stayed in a really cheap motel in Southgate LA,it was just off a strip with a large prostitute population day and night,all the local hotels were taxi hotels,anyway the hotel was grotty as f**k but I read the reviews and one room was supposedly haunted by a prostitute who was murdered by a serial killer who preyed upon pay-for-pleasure ladies.Several guests had seen her grey form in the room.

    The dead lady was holding the 11 month old child when she was killed,the 14 year old who shot her with his .40 cal pistol did so during an argument over Christmas gifts,he was shot by his 15 year old brother with a .45 cal,families who slay together stay together.

    I went to Geneva back in march or April from Heathrow,maybe 10 people in total on the flight,on the way back about the same,Geneva was empty.

    Sounds like my sort of ideal day,I am currently sitting on a plane,short flight to Toronto then NYE in NYC.
