I was thinking of gettingba tortoise just for to keep younin the garden. When i was a kid i had one. In winter kept it in a box in garage while it hibernated. Now i don't understand all this pish about vivarium and heat lamps. Wish i remember the type it was i had as a kid. No special lamps or fancy housing.

Cant speak for them only myself. I give as i good as i get. I dont like them they dont like us and the abuse comes from both sides i assure you. For the reasons i gave previously is why i do not like there support. Regardless i apologise if that wasn't what you meant.

Because the kid was suffering more and more! Not one dr but a whole load of them agreed on that! And a court of law read all the reports and listened to the harrowing plight 8f a suffering child and agreed the parents were not listening to reason. So they decided for them. wasnt just "some specialist" a whole hospital of people who had dealt with cases just like it. You argued about the yank dr at start of you're posts. Notice you didnt reply when you were informed he hadn't even looked at the kid nor even read the medical file!

You really just conviently ignore the fact the kid was suffering and would suffer even more with being taken out of hospital. Also ignore the sheer ignorance of this yank Dr who claimed he could help without knowing f**k all about this wee mites case. If a team of specialists were telling me i was terminal and some yank on the other side of the world emailed me with a half arsed pledge i know who id be listening to. Oh here we go again another ex soldier throwing there career in you're face because they dont like you're comments. I pay my taxes and respect my country. You dont have to serve in the armed forces to be a better citizen of the UK. Although i have the utmost respect for them they do a job same as the cops, fire service etc etc. Tbh i didn't expect a comment like that from you. There is a salmon plant in my area. They have a dummy hawk on a wire to keep them away. I would imagine it wasn't cheap though.

Unless it is not in the welfare of said child. I have met some horrible irresponsible people with kids. Fortunaetly we have a system in place that looks out for them. i feel some people look on kids as there property! They are just wee human beings and should also have their own rights out with the family home.

Nothing to do with judgemental. Its a forum this was a thread and people comment on it. Obviously not all will agree with others views, and tbh it would be pretty shit if we all did.
